Vertical FTL Drive

I remember seeing a vertical FTL drive on the back of the pyramid although could not find any information in this forum about it.


What do you guys think? There clearly is a vertical line there, its just not lit up.

I don't think it's possible, most things don't move up and down in space

A vertical FTL engine wouldn't be needed, just use thrusters to rotate the ship in the direction you want to go.

I know, but I'm asking if that's what the OP was looking for. Even then, there is a slot on the "real" Destiny vertically along the pyramid that looks like it could be a defunct FTL drive: http://stargate.mgm.com/view/content/2426/index.html

Theres no such thing as up or down in space as theres no gravity, its just a matter of point the ship where you want to go, this isn't normally seen in sci-fi, but thats just to make things look a bit better and what not

Its a fan-made addition, Destiny JUST has the one horizontal curved strip of blue light propulsion thing on her ass.
