We all know the man can sing and I for one have songs running 'round my head that I think Jensen would perform beautifully if given the chance...hence my wanting to hear him sing those songs...

Here is but a few...

Halleluja - An incredible song and I bet Jensen would just knock it out of the park!
Eye of the Tiger - We all know he can lip sinc the hell out of this song so it's a sure bet that he can sing the hell out of it too.
I Can't Fight This Feeling (Anymore) - I'd like to hear him sing the whole song.

And 'tis the season, so...

Belleau Wood - My favorite Garth Brooks xmas song ever! And another one that I think Jensen could nail.

So, anyone else got any songs?

Anything, really, would make me happy. I was looking up some music he's involved with. Mostly from his musical buddies, like Jason Manns. Steve Carlson did a song called "Come Around More Alabama". I'd love to hear Jensen in a bigger part of that, and other, songs.

I'll have to go think of some other specific songs, but I think he'd do well with a lot of country songs.

Agreed. You know he co-wrote two songs with Steve Carslon right?

Here's (http://fandomania.com/cw-artists-jensen-ackles/) that site with his music involvement. I think all of Steve Carlson's stuff is on iTunes, we've all heard "Crazy Love" by now I think. That one from Soap Sessions is really hard to find. I couldn't even find somewhere selling the CD. I did find a video on YT tough.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DGRmm1OGig4&feature=related
Here's that video. Jensen doesn't have a whole lot of solo time. His big chunk starts at about 1:12. He gets bits of the chorus from then on. Personally, I think he's better than the other guy.

Okay got another one...

Would LOVE to hear Jensen sing "Hello World" by Lady Antebellum. It's a beautiful song that I think suits Jensen's voice. Every time I hear it, and knowing Jensen's voice - what it sounds like - I can't help but to think: Oh, I bet Jensen would do an amazing job singing this song.

"Luckenback Texas" - I would love to hear him take the lead with that one. Instead of backround vocals.

Got another one...

"God Blessed Texas" by Little Texas ...seeing as he's from Texas it seems somewhat appropriate.:D

Of course, he could sing the phonebook and I'd listen.;)

Thought of another song I would love to hear Jensen sing...

..."Halleluja" by Jeff Buckly. I love everything about this song. Jensen just might do well with this one.

EDIT: Bon Jovi does a great version of Halleluja...

This is more a Dean song but, whatever...

"Real Good Man" By Tim McGraw. I heard it on the radio earlier today and tought that it fit Dean pretty well. And as I was listening to it I was imaging Dean singing it.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C8u_23VRopc&feature=related

Here are the words incase you don't want to watch the video.;)
Girl you've never known no one like me
Up there in your high society
They might tell you I'm no good
Girl they need to understand
Just who I am
I may be a real bad boy
But baby I'm a real good man

I may drink too much and play too loud
Hang out with a rough and rowdy crowd
That don't mean I don't respect
My Mama or my Uncle Sam
Yes sir, yes ma'am
I may be a real bad boy
But baby I'm a real good man

I might have a reckless streak
At least a country-mile wide
If you're gonna run with me
It's gonna be a wild ride
When it comes to loving you
I've got velvet hands
I'll show you how a real bad boy
Can be a real good man

I take all the good times I can get
I'm too young for growing up just yet
Ain't much I can promise you
'Cept to do the best I can
I'll be damned
I may be a real bad boy
But baby I'm a real good man

I may be a real bad boy
Oh but baby I'm a real good man
Yes I am

After hearing Scotty McCreery belt it out on American Idol, twice, I'd love to hear Jensen sing Montgomery Gentry's "Gone". I think Jensen would have so much fun singing that song.

A lot of songs make me think of Jensen. And Dean. Can't be helped I'm afraid.:o

Take Journey's "Don't Stop Believing"... for some reason every time I hear that song I just..I picture Dean singing it, with Sam backing him up. Cass and Bobby on drums and whatever the heck else. Like that Rock Band Video with them singing "Wayward Son". It might be because of that video, who knows.

BTW: The lips and eyes in your sig driving me crazy :-)

So what would I suggest. I got a few things on my mind:

What about a Bryan Adams thunk thread? :samanime51:

Second:

Alright, got another one...

Bret Michael's Every Rose Has It's Thorn. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ak84KRJ_kJI) It has become a favorite of mine over the last few years and I would love to hear Jensen perform it. I think he'd do a great job. Not to mention he'd sound super sexy singing it.:D

Actually, would love to hear Dean sing "Long Long Way From Home"...every time I listen to this song on my iPod I can't help but think of Dean. Some of the lines are so fitting...

Lyrics...
It was a Monday, a day like any other day
I left a small town for the apple in decay
It was my destiny, it's what we needed to do
They were telling me, I'm telling you

I was inside looking outside, the millions of faces
But still I'm alone, waiting, hours of waiting
Paying a penance, I was longing for home
I'm looking out for the two of us, I hope we'll be here
When they're through with us

I was inside looking outside, oh the millions of faces
But still I'm alone, waiting, hours of waiting
I could feel the tension, I was longing for home
I'm looking out for the two of us And I hope we'll be here
When they're through with us, I'm a long way from home

Monday, sad, sad Monday, she's waiting for me
But I'm a long, long way from home
Sad, sad Monday, she's waiting for me
But I'm a long long way from home

Sad, sad Monday, ah she's waiting for me
But I'm a long, long way from home

Now, as for Jensen...heh...I'd like to hear him sing "I'm All Out Of Love" just because it was too damn funny when he (as Dean) was lip syncing in Slash Fiction. Man, I cannot wait to see the gagreel wherein he's lip syncing the whole song!

Here's the scene in question...

Okay, Jensen's buddy Christian Kane co-wrote a song that was featured in an episode of Christian's tv show Leverage. The song is called "Thinking Of You" and Christian sang it in the episode. I think I'm falling head over heals for this song as more than once I've had it in my head while at work. And that got me to thinking that Jensen just might be able to carry that song.

Since we got to hear Jensen sing a few lines of "The Boys Are Back In Town" in this vid from VegasCon (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dYoXPTS37-4) I would love to hear him sing THE WHOLE SONG. Just to see him having so much fun would be amazing!

Urm...how about one Beatle...John Lennon's "Imagine" is a favorite of mine. I wouldn't mind listening to Jensen singing that. There are a few Beatles songs I like, but...I can't think of a single one of them right now. Oh, wait, "Let It be" is one of them. Yeah.

Okay, Jensen could sing this song to Danneel, it's so fitting. Specially the one line at the end: "Pretty little girl and a beautiful wife."

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oOyPfJoGHe8

I actually prefer the acoustic version (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oOyPfJoGHe8) myself. Just Jensen and his guitar, so his voice could be heard that much better.;)

Okay, got another one...

Mark Wills' "I do (Cherish You)"...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gBtgcU9DL24
...he can sing this to me, but I'm sure he'd rather sing it to Danneel.;)

I also wouldn't mind hearing Jensen sing 19 Somethin' (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sm--KJk-kgw) ...also by Mark Wills. A great nostalgic song.:D

Oh boy, I just keep finding 'em...

This is, again, a song fit for Jensen to sing to Danneel. Sorry.:o But I would love to here him sing this one because I think he would do an amazing job...

Brad Paisley's "Then"...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-AtaZ_NU_tU
...the lyrics are quite fitting. Specially "I can just see you
With a baby on the way", because, BabyAckles is indeed on her way.:D

Well, then...allow me to educate you my friend...

#1) Angeles (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q-tT0V6d7Eo) Just AMAZING! He sings, he plays the guitar, he melts hearts. Also, part of the video was filmed on board Jensen's boat. PArt was filmed in the sound truck on the SPN set, filmed by Jared using Jensen's iPhone.

#2) The Weight (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TNMX7HovRD8) Singing with his good buddy Jason Manns at JIB3 in Rome. Simply AWESOME!

#3) Crazy Love (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=af9sdCMaOd0) Jensen sings one verse of this song...also with Jason. Jensen's verse starts with "She's got a fine sense of humor..."

There are a few more but you can easily find them by searching Youtube for "Jensen Ackles singing..."

Hubby got a job that he's been bucking for, but it's in another state. Our teen is a senior in high school this year, so we don't want to pull him--better to let him graduate with his friends if we can.

Hubby and I will see each other now and again, if not every month, then every other month. He'll leave mid-July; the younger boy and I will be moving up to be back with him end of next May, when school lets out. It's a sacrifice, but one we're both willing to make for the teen.

The boy has a lot of other stuff going on, too, that pulling him would hurt him more in the long run than hubby & I being apart for a year. He has rank in a military program that will transfer with him when he actually joins just after graduation. He has a recruiter that he's been working with for a couple of years now. He finally has a job--albeit, one he hates, but any job for a teen these days is a good thing.

His little brother is disappointed to not be moving this year, but he also understands.

Just a wild hair I've had the past couple of days--I'd love to hear Jensen sing "I Feel Pretty". :P

Thanks, sweetie! Oddly, my hubby, who was in the Air Force, was stationed in Texas, where he stayed for the duration of his tour. There was a small chance at one point that he was going to be sent to England, and a TDY to Guantanamo (circa 1995), neither of which panned out.

We actually "dated" by writing letters--the old-fashioned sort--for about nine months before he proposed when I took a trip to see him, and we married two months later, between duty stations.

We've been apart for weeks at a time before, but never months, and I'm usually fit to be tied with the kids by the time he returns. So we'll see. In the meantime, I've added you to my email list--thanks again for the support. I'll definitely need every friend I can get for the next ten months. :S
