A Science Fiction and Fantasy Quiz or So you think you know Sci-Fi...?

    Greetings fellow Gaters.
Here is a challenge for you.

This thread will be a quiz.
A general Science Fiction and Fantasy quiz.
To test your knowledge and the members of Gateworld in all things Sci-Fi and Fantasy.

    The rules are very simple.
    1. One person asks a question.
    2. The question can be about any Science Fiction/Fantasy Series, Book, Film, Anime,
    3. It has to be answerable, please don't try yo catch anyone one out.
    4. The question is 'live' for a week. If it hasn't been answered the answer must be posted by the question setter, and a new question set.
    5. The question setter must say if the answer, when posted is correct.
    6. If correct the person who answered correctly sets a new question.
    7. No multi-part questions.
    8. In the case of multiple answers. The question setter must select the person to set the next question.
    9. Have fun. And please try not to go off-topic.

    Those are the rules.

    Here is the first question.

It is a Star Trek related question.
In Star Trek IV : The Voyage Home. What is the Hull registration number of the USS Enterprise shown in the middle of the Movie?

(A Hint: It's not what will spring to mind)

Well it has been a week. No one has answered my question.

So I'll have to give you the answer.

The answer is CVN-65. Which is the Hull number of the USS Enterprise seen in the middle of the film.

      And here is another question.

A Veritech Fighter can be found in which animated series of the 1980's?

I'd say it was the Lexx.

If my answer is correct, my question is:

The Omega-class Destroyer is very similar in design to a ship from which film? (Please don't look it up. Ty.)

The Lexx doesn't eat planets, it eats biomatter.

Digifluid is right it is not Lexx, you guys thought I would make it that easy.
Here a clue it a animated series.

As Missster.Freeman question, I believe it a ship in one of the Alien films, but I get confuse between them all an do not want to cheat to find out exactly which one it is. But I could also be completly wrong to.

                  Oh, that gives it away

Galactus! I defer my question in favour of Missster.Freeman's.

Yeah, I remember he was fed chunked up humans when he was still growing.

I admit that my memory is pretty hazy, but I'm sure Lexx hoovered up the chunky kibbles of planets he obliterated. Think I'll need to do a rewatch of Lexx. But not today.

Aw well, I never would've guessed it then.

                          Wrong! Sorry.

Ok, a clue. It was a sequel to a film with a number as a title.

The ship in 2010 which is a sequel 2001pace Odyssey, that that only space base science friction film I can think off with a number for the title.

Yeah. I wasn't really sure about Unicron (heck, I barely remember the movie...all I remember, w/ certainty, was that the Dinobots were in it )
Was it a japanese animated series?
