When inside a star, Destiny is constantly drawing power to bolster its shields. Any other times, they have to rely on available power.

You can listen to an iPod indefinitely so long as it remains plugged into the wall.
Unplugged, you only get X hours of listening time.

The same concept can be said for Destiny.

It also depends on what reserves destiny had at the time.
FYI, a Neutron star is far more powerfull then your average Star and 2 of them together well that's Deadly.

Correct. Any neutron star is deadly. And considering the circunstance of the star in the episode. Spinning around one another and ejecting mass and radiation, it's even more deadly.

Supposed Destiny able to "steal" some power during a weapon hits on the shield since the shield itself capable to protect the ship when entering the star...

The ship draws power through ram scoops on the underside of the hull. A burst of coherent energy is a far cry from stellar matter.

that would work only with hydrogen plasma weapons and photon weapons

there is no mention that it uses ram scoops for power. we dont know and probably never will...until we kidnapp some of the producers and force them to come up with answers...not that im suggesting such a thing.

Those things on the underside of the hull can be little else, and the point remains regardless. Unless the enemy was shooting directly into them, no power is gained.

Yup. Watching light, you can easily see the scoops pop out of the underside of the wings...

yes but we dont know that they are ram scoops, no one mentioned it and using hydrogen or helium as power is pretty inefficient and there is no way that a ship like dsetiny could use those gases as fuel for long.

Stars are composed of mostly those two elements, and Destiny is sucking it up. Unless it's filtering out almost all of it for one specific element, then it's using the material. It all depends on how it's using it.
