Why dont they just dial onto destiny , theres no iris or anything. i know ur gonna say they didnt have a remote, but the sgc didnt have a dhd and the managed to make there own dialing system, and these blue guys are much more advanced than we are u'd think they could make one 10 times better than ours.

However, for the sake of argument, let us say that the blues figured out how to use the Stargates.
Destiny is constantly on the move, which means a changing address. We know at least one address glyph from Destiny's address in "Air, Part 3" that is not part of Destiny's address in "Lost".
Moreover, given that Destiny moves out of range of the nearby Stargates when it jumps, meaning that the blues then have deal with not only finding out the Destiny's address, but also the point of origin for the 'Gate that they're using."From East Middle School. And plus if they could simply dial in whenever they wanted, well that would just wreak havoc with the story-line.We believe in the systematic understanding of the physical world through observation and experimentation, through argument and debate, but, most of all, freedom of will.

Also, as Quadhelix pointed out, it seems unlikely they can figure out Destiny's address on their own.sigpic

As far as we know, neither Pegasus nor Destiny-style gates can be dialled manually, so the only way is using a DHD or remote, respectively.

Each dial takes roughly 1 minute. There are 1,168,675,200 possible addresses on a Destiny-style Stargate, once you know the Point of Origin. It would take over 2,000 years to go through all possible addresses. The Destiny typically stops for less than a few days."From East Middle School. Suzumiya Haruhi.
