I don't know why SGU is reminding me of BSG but it is. Especially this episode.

Gloria appearing to Rush reminded me of Head 6.

When Chloe was having her black outs, reminded me of boomer.

Rush really did use many people for his own goal, like a darker version of baltar.

Did any of you get that BSG vibe? Or maybe its just me.......

Baltar was manipulated. Rush isn't. also it doesn't create a BSG vibe. BSG felt very different, like a neverending night. SGU is more of a shadow with a faint light far away but within reach

No. People having blackouts and hallucinating is not specific to BSG

these themes are common in a great deal of sci-fi, so you'll have to stretch your net a little wider than BSG (although I do know how much some love to make that particular comparison )
to play along with just one show in particular - Babylon 5

the dead appearing, to dispense wisdom or otherwise - Day of the Dead (B5)
characters having blackouts/being controlled by others - Garibaldi being controlled by the PsiCorp, any character 'spidered' by the Shadows
using others for their own goals - Kosh, Londo Mollari, countless others.

Young has worn glasses since the beginning, there just were fewer shots of him wearing them then. He only seems to need them to read.

If/when Rush starts to cry, several times in an episode, then we will have a solid BSG connection.
