Wow, great lists, everybody! Here's what I've got - more song titles.

Some oldies:
Tuff enuff
Holding out for a hero
Forever in Blue Jeans ;)

And just about every other song from Nickelback's Dark Horse Album.
Burn it to the ground
I'd come for you
Just to get high
Never gonna be alone
S.E.X.
If today was your last day

And more Nickelback from other albums:
Savin' me
Side of a bullet
Flat on the floor
Belive it or not
Figured you out
Should've listened
Throw yourself away
Another hole in the head
Learn the hard way
On the move
Diggin' this
Not leaving yet

And
"Too Bad" since it pertains to a father who was never around when the band's singer/lead guitarist Chad and his brother were growing up.

And one spoof that's just crying out to me...
Miami Vice

Love 'em all guys! Specially Forever in Blue Jeans...even though I've never the song before because, Dean + Blue Jeans = HAVE MERCY!!!. And, Holding Out for a Hero? HELL YES!!!

Going to the Country now:
Friends in Low Places
Do What You Gotta Do
Cowboy Cadillac (http://www.mp3lerim.org/Garth_Brooks/Cowboy_Cadillac.htm) - kinda makes me think of the Impala.
Cowboys and Angels
The Night I called the Old Man Out (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WLwKLFttT_8)

All of the above songs are off of various Garth Brooks albums. I threw The Night I Called the Old Man Out because while listening to it yesterday I was reminded of Sam's frustration and anger towards his father and was imagining John and Sam in the roles of the father and youngest son in the song. Don't know if it would work but...

The Devil Went Down to Georgia
Live Like you were Dyin'
Ring of Fire
Angel Boy
The Boys of Fall
If You're Going Through Hell (Before the Devil Even Knows)
Angels Among Us
Touched By An Angel
Wild Angels
Somewhere Between the Devil and the Cross
Devil in the Eye

And now I'm back from the country:
Cherry Pie - for Dean
Hells Bells
Seven Minutes in Heaven
Wanted Dead or Alive
Devil's Sway
Superstition

warrior_chic
October 19th, 2010, 03:27 PM
Since we were talking about them in my gangs class, they need to work Hell's Angels into a title somehow.

And now I'm going to the country:
There's a song called "Brothers" and while that is a little generic, there's a line in it that would fit really well
That's what brothers are for

I got the idea for these two from a shot glass that I have that came from Ireland. It says, "May you be in Heaven an hour, before the Devil knows you're dead." I saw it and immediately thought of SPN.

In Heaven an Hour
The Devil Knows You're Dead

Just to say.....

RIG's idea of 'Wayward Son' SHOULD be the title of the whole series finale. :P

I figured nobody else here would know it. I was still in high school when this one came out. FIY, it's by Neil Diamond, and he had another song that I constantly had to think of while watching Faith:
Brother Love's Traveling Salvation Show

Going to the Country now:
Friends in Low Places
Do What You Gotta Do
Cowboy Cadillac (http://www.mp3lerim.org/Garth_Brooks/Cowboy_Cadillac.htm) - kinda makes me think of the Impala.

Yeah, that would work.

The Devil Went Down to Georgia
Live Like you were Dyin'
Ring of Fire
Angel Boy
The Boys of Fall
If You're Going Through Hell (Before the Devil Even Knows)
Angels Among Us
Touched By An Angel
Wild Angels
Somewhere Between the Devil and the Cross
Devil in the Eye

Yup, that one was on my list as well, forgot to write it down. Funny thing is I didn't even know for a long time this was a Johnny Cash song. I heard it first on a Tom Jones album of my mom's. And there were two other titles on that one that would work:
Two Brothers
Ghost Riders in the Sky

Since we were talking about them in my gangs class, they need to work Hell's Angels into a title somehow.

That is a good description of our boys.

If My Brother's Keeper has as much whump as the Bonanza version did I'm all for it. :o

How about Once upon a time in the West for a time travel episode to the Old West? There's a great story on ff.net by Gaelicspirit that would make a perfect script.

That would be witches. We havent seentoo much of them lately.

That actually sounds like a good idea for a Colt ep. John told the story, but there wasn't much else about Samuel Colt mentioned.

I've been going through the music guides, and some of the songs used would make good titles, like Back on the Road Again.

Love that idea. And hey, our boys are Texans after all. They'd look downright perfect in cowboy hats/boots and whatnot.:D

I checked out this site (http://www.squidoo.com/supernaturalmusic) last night for Supernatural Music and I must say it's a great site. Has all sorts of tidbits from interviews and such as well as con videos and the like. Got to fins out what's on Jensen's and Jared's iPods.:D

For sh!ts and giggles:
Murhpy's Law
The Three Amigos
Our Gang (The Little Rascals)
Groundhogs Day
I Dream of Deanie

Doing a little light reading:
Angels and Demons
It
The Shining
War of the Sons
The Unholy Cause
Interview With a Vampire
Interview With a Hunter (spoof!)
The Girl Who Loved Dean Winchester (spoof!)
The Girl Who Love Sam Winchester (spoof!)
The Vampire in the Rye (spoof!)
The Demon in the Rye (spoof!)
To Kill a Vampire (spoof!)
To Kill a Demon (spoof!)
A Tale of Two Hunters
Fight Club
A Portrait of the Hunter as a Young Man (spoof!)
Darkness at Noon (could reference an eclipse that happens at noon in ep)
Heart of Darkness
The Satanic Verses
Midnight's Children

"The Girl Who Loved Dean Winchester" is a spoof of Stephen King's "The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon".

By "spoof!" I simply mean the title only.;)

I feel like watching Stargate:
Tao of Dean
The Lost Boys
Michael
Phantoms
Doppelganger
Tabula Rasa
Ghost in the Machine
Outsiders
Bloodlines
There But for the Grace of God
Spirits
Legacy
The First ones
The Curse
Nightwalkers
Smoke and Mirrors
The Changeling
Fallen (obviously would be about a fallen angel. Cas?)
It's Good to be King (of Hell, Crowley)
Ex Deus Machina
The Fourth Horseman

I scanned my library wall, and here are a list of titles that could work for Spn:

Night of Terror by Desmond Bagley
The Cat Who Talked to Ghosts by Lilian Jackson Braun
Endless Night by Agatha Christie
From Potter's Field and Cause of Death by Patricia Cornwell
Slaughterhouse Five by Kurt Vonnegue (remember Monster at the End of this Book?)
Shaman by Noah Gordon
A Man With a Load of Mischief by Martha Grimes
Dangerous Ground by Jack Higgins
A Taste for Death by P. D. James
The Underground Man by Ross MacDonald
Ride a Pale Horse by Helen MacInnes
The Return by Joe de Mers
Miracle Cure by Michael Palmer
Defend and Betray and Traitor's Gate by Anne Perry
A Question of Blood by Ian Rankin
Going Wrong by Ruth Rendell
Interview with a Vampire by Anne Rice
Possession by Ann Rule
Unnatural Death and Whose Body? by Dorothy Sayers
Ten Seconds to Zero by Ken Stanton
Blood Ties (a SGA novel)
A Man in Full by Tom Wolfe
The House Between Two Worlds by Marion Zimmer Bradley

That last one could prob make for a good story involving Lisa and Ben. Maybe I'm just thinking that cuz I just finished 'Two and a Half Men'.

Good point. I was thinking something more transcendental, but you're right, that's an apt description of Lisa's house for Dean.

Right?

Had an idea for an episode where the Impala is haunted...or possessed ala Christine. But I couldn't think of an apt title for it. Ah well.

Oh, maybe.... Maximum Overdrive? That was a short story by Stephen King...and a crappy movie in 1986.

Other Stephen King Movies whose titles would make great SPN episode titles:
The Dead Zone
Cujo
Children of the Corn
Silver Bullet
Graveyard Shift
Sometimes They Come Back
The Dark Half
Dream Catcher
Riding the Bullet

Then there's this one:
Children of the Damned

padr49904

My mother's suggestion:
My Brother's Keeper

And two I thought of last night:

Yes, my mom is an SPN fan too.

Like the first one the other two are meh. But the second one might work because neither of them has ran away from the other this season yet.

Oookay. Guess I'll bump the thread then...

Hear No Evil, See No Evil, Speak No Evil - Dean, Sam, and Bobby are cursed. Perhaps a spell gone sideways? Bobby is mute, Dean is blind, and Sam is deaf. And they have to figure out how to reverse it - all while being deaf, mute and blind. It would, of course, be a comic episode; with Dean bumping into things left and right - cursing when he incurs injury. Calling out "SAM! BOBBY! in an attempt to locate them in whatever room they're in. And, at one point bumping into Sam or Bobby. I'm picturing Dean walking around aimlessly with his arms held out in front of him while looking for his brother or Bobby and smacking one of them (preferably Bobby!) in the face. Bobby's reaction would be hilarious of course.

Sam gesticulating wildly half the time in an attempt to get things/feelings/ideas/etc... across to Bobby, the only one who can see him for the time being. Sam's reactions, not to mention Jared's facial acting would be priceless!

Then there's Bobby. Good ol' Bobby, unable to vent his frustrations (at there predicament and at the boys) would be equally as hilarious with his facial expressions and anger coming out in the form of clenched fist or open palm banging/slapping on things, like the top of his desk or his tabletop - if he happens to be in the kitchen. I imagine this episode taking place at Bobby's.

I thought of this in the shower last night. I forgot to post it when I was finished and back here. My bad.:o

Thanks. And I realized earlier today while relaying this episode idea to my...er...mom:o that Sam can actually speak - DUH! - I did a mental forehead slap for that. He'd just be speaking really loud since he can't hear his own voice to know just how loud he's speaking; much to the annoyance of Dean and Bobby.

And I agree, you should pitch that to the Spn crowd. There's gotta be a way to contact them.
Yeah, too bad I'm sorta shy when it comes to things like that. However, in this case I think I's make an exception. You think they're allowed to take ideas from fans? I know the Stargate PTB were not allowed. Heck, they couldn't even read fanfic.

Totally switching genres here, but how about some Johnny Cash:

Ghost Riders in the Sky
Ring of Fire
Highwayman
Devil Went Down to Georgia
Bad News
25 Minutes to Go
Flesh and Blood
Don't Go Near the Water
I Forgot to Remember to Forget
He Came Back Again
Redemption Day
You'll Never Walk Alone
Meet Me in Heaven
Father and Son (cause I wanna see JDM one more time on this show!)

And since my son's just reading it for school:

House of Spirits (Actually, the German title is even better, it's The Ghost House)

Great idea! Too bad TPTB didn't think about this when they picked the title for The French Mistake.

My son met the guy who drew Roger Rabbit for the movie, so how about

Who Framed Dean (or Sam) Winchester?

One of the guys could get turned into a toon, and the other one has to turn him back. Sound like something the Trickster could pull off - too bad he's not around anymore.
