"Very pleased to meet you guys," Raiden said. "Flight can I borrow that LSD (life signs detector)? With all this fog it's gonna be kinda hard to see someone if they try to creep up on us and I want to make sure that doesn't happen."

"Elena, do you have it?" Cate remembered seeing her friend catch it as Ellis threw it to them. "That may be Raiden, but I'm more worried about once we're inside. Jim, is the building secure?" She asked her MI6 contact as they edged closer to the wall for protection. Cate looked across the street at the main entrance of the building, a low glow of light emmanated through the stained glass window.

Ty scanned the top of the building and the entrance, he didn't like it. He listened to the conversation between Cate and the MI6 spooks. The small woman Amanda replied. "We've moved all the other civilians out Flight Lieutenant, only our suspects on the third floor remain."

"Yes but are they in their rooms or wondering about?" Ty thought to himself. "Captain, Flight. I think our best chance is to gain the top floor and swing over the balcony. See there." He pointed down the opposite side of the building where
another lane way passed. There was an iron fire escape leading up to the very top, behind the balconies of each flat on that side.

Ty lugged his pack and gear over and stood protectively near his CO, for some reason every time he looked at the Russian Captain, he wished ever so much he had followed his brother and become an officer, he knew she'd never look at him other than a grunt, to be given orders to, but he could try. "I'm bloody well damned glad to get out of that alley. I think something is dead back there."

{Captain Elena Ovcharenko}

The woman gave him a side look and whispered.

"I always thought that it's better to smell death than to be dead, but we can discuss it later, Corporal, if you'll still have the will. We've a mission here..."

A second MI6 agent appeared from the shadows of a shop entrance. She was short and stocky, but pretty in her own way, she wiped a stray fringe from her face. "SG4, we've heard about you. Amanda Tipping, IT specialist. We've been monitoring your friends for two days now. There is now eight of them in two adjoining flats with a common door between. Five males and three females, all of them are inside at the moment."

Elena raised her voice, not leaving Tyrone a chance to reply now. If he wanted to chat, there will be the time for that later.

"Nice to see you, people. Let's hope none escaped your discerning eye."

They all moved closer to the wall and Scorpio pulled the required item from her pack.

"It's right here, though I'd actually prefer to have it indoors..."

Scorpio weighed the LSD on her palm thoughtfully.

Lena rewarded her SG-4 newest member with an acknowledging look.

"See? I'd say that thing will be more useful for us inside, though if you insist, Cate, I'll give it to Raiden." Now her gaze examined the top of the building, looking for the possible routes. "Well, that gonna be easier to climb up and down than mountains..."

"Thanks Jim." Cate stood nearer to SG4's CO. "It's up to you Elena, you're the boss, I'm just along for the ride. But I'd like at least someone to go through that front door. Corporal, once we're on the fire escape, do you think you can cover our six from inside?"

"All done Cap'n."
Ty crossed the road first, scanning up and down the quiet street, a taxi pulled away from the curb a little further off, but U turned and went the other way, heart beating, he made it the rest of the way and stood below the drop ladder, he looked up. Yes about eight to ten feet. He knelt on the damp ground, the others would use his strong back as a step up and grab the bottom platform of the ancient iron structure. A quick swing and they would be above ground. He beckoned them over, signaling the all clear with a thumbs up.

He noticed there were more than three MI6 agents around, he at least hoped they were, as they began spreading out either end of the building. Each one of them held a silenced pistol, in typical spook fashion. Ty waited for the others to join him.

Batou watched as the Corporal got into position, he saw him give the thumbs up in the dim light of an old yellowing lamp fixture somewhere nearby. "Captain, Flight. I think I should go first, at least with my weight, we'll see how strong Ty's back is." There was no humour in his face, just a matter of fact.

It was Elena's show, but she seemed to be pre-occupied with the upper windows of the building, Cate responded to Raiden. "Go for it...quietly. We'll be right behind you."

Hitching up his pack and slinging his weapons, Batou crossed the street on cats feet quickly. Without a pause he took several long strides and using Ty's back like a vault, he just barely managed to grab the lower iron frame of the fire escape and swing himself up. It groaned a little but not too loudly under him. He used his small torch and winked it twice at his companions.

Cate saw the two light flashes and turned to Elena. "After you." She held out her hand toward the road.

Bang! Crash! Meeeoowww!

Ty almost sh*t himself. "Bloody cats." He whispered. "Come on guys, what's taking so long." he said quietly as he waited for Cate and Elena

"Oh, well, if you really insist."

Elena flashed a smile at her friend and began crossing the street. Right when she was at the centre of the road, cats decided to misbehave a bit, making her freeze in place for a split second as she heard the sudden screech. Scorpio swore under her breath in her native, and moved further.

"Relax, Corporal, I'm here already. We're just cautious." - Lena whispered back to him as she moved closer, keeping herself nearly pressed against the building wall.

She looked up at the ladder, which Raiden was climbing up already. It was truly two meters above and she was a tall woman, so the Captain waited until her XO was at the top, raised her hands, grabbing the lower frame and pulled herself up, touching Ty's back only with one foot. The ladder groaned under her weight too, and Scorpio wasn't too fond about it, so she slowly climbed it, doing her best to keep the process quiet.

"I'm as relaxed as jello Cap'n" Ty whispered and at the same moment sirens wailed in the distance, dogs began to bark and directly above them from the third floor voices could be clearly heard. Which could only mean, their targets were either on their balcony, or at the least the balcony door was open. Ty lifted his head and this time he spoke softly into his coms. "Be alert, the rats are up."

He looked toward the Australian she was about to make her move. Her figure seem to cloaked in the mist and he could no longer see the MI6 spooks, which he did not like.

Hearing Ty's transmission, Cate unholstered one of her DE's and quickly fitted a silencer to it, she shoved it in her waistband and moved cautiously across the road, not taking her eyes off the third floor. When she was about three metres from the Corporal she increased her pace and lept with both booted feet square on the centre of his back, she sprung to the iron border of the lower fire escape. The hard edges felt they might cut her calloused hands, but she swung up and began to climb silently behind Elena and Raiden. Cate whispered to Ty below her. "Good luck Corporal. Two clicks when you're in position."

She caught up behind Elena on the second floor and slipped her ski mask over her head, and withdrew her gun, indicating to both her companions the silenced weapon. The voices one floor above were clear, a mixture of both male and female. She climbed higher, aiming for the fourth floor, one above their target.

Raiden stopped at the 2nd floor window and motioned for the Flight Lt. and Captain to proceed up to the 4th floor. "I'll cover your ascent and then breach from the third floor window." Just the sound of his own voice in the late London fog gave Raiden the creeps. Knowing that they needed to take at least 3 or 4 of the LA members alive Raiden exchanged his M1911A1 for his Wraith stunner (small version)(courtesy of the Atlantis Expedition). While waiting for the signal to breach Raiden attatched the locator beacons to quick releases on his belt so that he could tag any equipment he came across on the fly.

Not looking back, Ty kept close to the wall and slipped around the front of the building, he could no longer see the MI6 people and hoped they were still there, the fog was thick now and the hairs stood on the back of his neck. He'd watched far too many horror movies for his comfort. He went softly up the dozen or so steps and tried the glass paned door, the coloured light shone through the the stained panels in hues of blue, green, yellow and red. The handle turned easily and he edged the door open a little, taking out a mini-periscope he scanned the immediate area behind the door. A long carpeted hallway, doors either side, with a single stair case at the farthest end.

Within moments Ty was at the foot of the stairs, he had traversed the distance from the front and listened at every door along the way. He went up lightly on the first few steps to check for any timber creaking, relieved there was none, he quickened his pace. Soon he found himself on the third floor, he found the two adjoining rooms, nineteen and twenty-one. The voices were clear and harsh an argument seemed to be happening, but he did not understand the alien tongue. Above each door was a lift out window, both were open. Laying his pack quietly on the floor, he retrieved four flash-bangs, fitted his silencer to his Berretta and re-holstered it. The last thing he had to do was send the signal, but he hesitated as one voice drew nearer. Pressing himself against the wall, he drew his zat. Sweat poured from his face. A moment passed and the voice retreated. "Sh*t!" he swore.

Wasting no time, he clicked twice on his comslink.

Raiden hearing the double click come from the coms jumped slightly. "Damn," he swore softly to himself as he moved into position outside the third floor window. Once in position he pulled out his combat knife to take a look into the room. He saw two tangos in the kitchen of what appeared to be room 21 according to his tacmap. and another two arguing by the door that joined the two rooms. What he spotted next really gave him the chills, it was a subspace transmitter attached to a computer that had what appeared to be coordinates. ("If im reading those coordinates right," Raiden thought to himself, "That thing is set to be able to direct transmit to the planet that SG1 and SG3 are supposed to be hitting soon.")

She took a quick glance and saw the four visible, but the two flats are joined by a common door, each with one with two bedrooms, a kitchen dining room, bathroom and sitting room. "God." Scorpio activated her radio and whispered, giving her team tactical information.

"Nine targets, in room 21 there're two in the kitchen and two next to the ajoining door... In room 19 there're two standing next to the balcony door, one is in the sitting room, one in the bedroom and the last one seems to be very busy in the WC."

Click. "Roger Flight, Captain. Powerboard in sight, three metres to my left." Ty replied. He hoisted his pack onto his back and withdrew his zat, pressed the arm trigger and went to the electrical cabinet. It wasn't locked but the cover was stiff to open and most likely would make a noise when he opened it. "Ah stuff it." He said under his breath. returning to the first door he grabbed one of his flash bangs from the floor, tucked it under his arm, picked up a second one, pulled the pin and lobbed it in through the open window above the door. Turning slightly he aimed his zat at the electrical cabinet and fired, once, twice. The whole building went dark, Ty slipped his NVG over his eyes at the same moment the first flash went off, he lobbed a second one and waited only a second.

Angry shouts were heard from within, furniture getting knocked over and someone urgently opening the door of room nineteen. A crack appeared in the green of Ty's NVG's, he through the last two flash bangs in succession, his hand blocking out the startling white flash, his coms ear piece in one ear and a earplug in the other stopping him from receiving the sonic bang. A figure appeared at the door. He fired his weapon once. "Tango one down."

Ty then waited for his team on the other side of the rooms, he knew it wouldn't be long before more FB's were thrown and he readied himself.

The moment Raiden turned his back Cate poked her tongue out at him, she then swiveled her head around to Elena. Speaking in low but hurried tones she said. "The moment we do neutralise these b*stards, I'm going to use their toilet, I am so dying for a piss." She hurried down the steps and went to room nineteen balcony, she got into position the moment the first flashbangs went off from the other side. With her night vision goggles on, the weird green made her eyes go awry for a moment. She looked across at Raided on balcony twenty one and nodded. Without waiting for Elena to catch up, she kicked open the flimsy door with her foot and threw in another flash grenade and leaned close against the wall.

"Tango one down." Came through her coms.

The voices and angry shouts became louder, and cries of pain as well. Cate had her silenced pistol in hand, she didn't quite trust the zat, she'd seen enemy's recover all to quickly from it. She had her zat engaged in her left hand, but her right held the heavy DE pistol, two tango's came headlong out the door she held, the first was too close, she hit him over the head with the butt of her pistol and he went silently over the railing. The other was quicker and had overcome the FB's he turned on the woman next to the door and pushed her against the railing, Cate's pistol followed the first LA agent over and down three floors below with a clatter.

"Raiden, Lena..." She called as the heavy man pushed her further.

Keying his comms, "Flight is down but uninjured, I had to stun her as well as the LA member." After he told the rest of the team he quickly moved into flat 21 and had to stun another tango. Another came blindly around the corner from what might have been the bathroom, wielding a light MG. Ty reacted instantly, the man was so close, he shot him in the chest with his pistol, the target dropped dead in a spray of blood, which covered the lens of his goggles. "Ah f***" He whipped them of his head and flicked the knob on his tactical torch and turned on the laser sight of his Beretta. A large arm swung for his head catching him on the ear. Elena couldn't help herself giggling queitly when she heard what Cate had whispered to her and moved after her, pulling her NVG over her eyes. She was still on the ladder when her friend jumped on the balcony and when explosions, shooting and screams were heard. The woman had to turn away from the windows to avoid blinding flashes and when she looked back, hearing her name, Cate was already struggling with the two LA goons. While she was reaching for her sidearm to help her, Hayden and Raiden took care of them already.

"Зашибись..." - she thought, landing on the balcony herself and checking Flight's vitals. They were all right, so Scorpio sticked a beacon right at the forehead of the stunned bandit and drew her new rifle, while Ty was sorting out things with his two new playmates.

Lena quickly counted the tangos went down, adding the one Raiden sent at the orbite, and gathered that there were only three remaining, both in the adjacent room. She rushed past swearing Corporal to the joining door and swing (aspect? :S) it open with perfect timing to see the last LA male coming with an SMG after Batou who was obviously preoccupied with that transmitter. Unluckily for him his was orienting by the sound and his gun was pointing in a bit wrong direction.

Scorpio didn't hesitate for a split second, aiming her rifle and placing a burst of bullets through his wrists and forearms, making him fall on the floor screaming in pain and pressing hands against his stomach. The gun fell on the floor without going off, just what Elena planned. These caused noises in the room that probably was the kitchen.

"Raiden, eyes!" - Ovcharenko cried out, hurling a flashbang where the two remaining women should have been, turning her back to the future flash.

He whipped his hands up to his NVG's and yanked them off, right as the flash hit. "Thanks for the heads up Cap." Raiden hollered as the shock wave dissapated. Before he went back to the subspace transmitter he tagged the fallen tango and keying his coms said, "Oddysey this is Raiden, Sending up a tango with gunshot wounds to the hands and wrists." "Thanks for the forewarning Raiden," came the reply. Almost as an afterthought, "Oh and you also need to lock on to the Flight Lt.'s beacon she has been stunned but she is uninjured, and she needs to be gotten to safety."

"Understood."

"And tell the Colonel that we kept the body bags amount for minimum tonight, please."

"Ma'am, are you ok?" Cate heard the voice in the back of her head somewhere, she tried to open her eyes a little, her vision blurred, she focused on the dark uniform hovering over her.

"Ma'am..." A hand gently shook her, Cate brushed it away.

"I'm alright." She said groggily. "What happened?"

Her eyes now focused the first thing she saw other than the Marine near her, was the LA agent laying face down, hands and legs bound. She was too close to him, she instinctively rolled away and stood shakily on her legs. Arms from both sides held her up. "You were hit buy a Wraith stunner ma'am." Another, female voice said from her left. Cate swivelled her head and looked at one of Odyssey's med techs.

"Bloody Raiden, I'll kill him..." She swore.

"Ah ok Flight, we'll sort that out later." Colonel Ellis was sitting comfortably at a meal table, apparently enjoying Cate's discomfort by the grin on his face.

She turned to him, freed herself of the supporting arms. "Any word yet sir?"

"I'm getting reports now from Scorpio, it shouldn't be long. We have some.." he pointed to the LA goon. "..some guests arriving though."

Cate placed her hands on her hips and stretched. "The first of many I'm afraid sir. Now if you'll excuse me, I must.." She didn't finish and ran for the nearest head.

Abe got up immediately from his seat and headed for the outer passage, on his way he spoke to Cate hurriedly. "You better come with me Hayden, I think it's about your mission."

As he spoke more LA agents appeared on the mess hall floor. The Marines covered them and began securing those still alive.

Ellis and Cate ran along the main passageway, fortunately on the Odyssey it was configured a little differently to the Daedalus, the mess being on the same level as the bridge. They rounded the corner and Abe spoke to his XO.

"What have we got Crispin"

The stocky woman replayed the message from SG4's 'Raiden'. Abe and Cate listened intently. "What the f....." Abe began. He turned to Cate at his shoulder. "Did you guys know about this before you went in?"

"No sir, how could we?" She repiled surprise written on her face. "It was a standard snatch and grab Colonel, as we've done countless times before, the LA's have never had this fallback."

"Well they damned well have now, this is going to screw SG1's mission." He rubbed his naked head. "Crispin, get Colonel's Carter and Caldwell on the blower, relay that transmission to both."

Elena pulled off her goggles and turned to Sam.

"Welcome into the mess, Comrade Colonel, we've something screwed up. Those LA goons came up with a defense we never met before. This computer has a subspace transmitter hooked to it, which receives signals from some other sort of transmitters in their bodies, and it'll trigger alarm to all LA members here on Earth and offworld if we remove them from general area. In a brilliant Asgard light show, Cate appeared on the very balcony she almost went over. She looked briefly down and shrugged. She heard voices inside and joined them. "Right I'm back, give me a minute though I really have to go....."

As she was listening to the steady flow in the bowl, she removed a small container from her coat pocket. Sam whistled softly to try and cover Cate's melodic flow in the loo, no one had touched anything while the Australian was indisposed. They heard the flush and waited. Cate washed her hands and sent the offending evidence down the sewer, she made a mental note to have a check with Doctor Lam the moment she got back to the SGC. She opened the door and showed little emotion on her face, Cate could be very cool when she chose.

"Colonel Carter, Captian Hailey." She acknowledged them with her softer voice.

"Catherine, it's been a while." Sam said and gave her a small hug.

"Too long Sam." Cate whispered in Sam's ear. There friendship went back to when Cate was younger and with her parents association with Jack O'Neill. By this time Jennifer was standing and she had focused the torch to give some light to the monitor. Cate sat down and read through all the text. "Hmm, well Lena, Raiden was right about the subspace transmitters. Jennifer here, can shut it down with a loop feed...you can so that Jen?"

Hailey shrugged her shoulders and spoke to Sam. "We can Colonel but we'll need something bigger than my laptop to sustain the feed continuosly."

"I'll have a team sent in from our British counterparts. You and I will set it up and they can plug in as soon as they get here." Sam pulled out her cellphone and dialed a number. Within moments she had someone and explained the situation. "They'll be here in fifteen minutes. Now Cate, what's with the Korean angle?"

She read in through twice, there were a few pages. "Holy crap!" She said at last. "They have a agent from Korea on their way here tonight. It seems..oh no." She read a passage again. "They have someone in the North Korean government. They're working on some kind of radiation suit. Oh f***" She stood and turned quickly. "They are supplying North Korea with naquada, to get around the nuclear treaty. In exchange the North Korean's are giving the LA full access to Earth from Pyongyang."

Getting the go ahead to prove his worth brightened Ty's spirit a lot. He gave his CO a snappy salute and ducked into the nearest bedroom and went rummaging through the closets and drawers. His torch guiding him he found that this cell probably hadn't been in situ long, as nearly everything was new and not even used. Suits, casual clothes. But the biggest shock was when he opened up a suit case, it was full of currency. Pounds, US dollars and credit cards, he almost fell backwards when he saw it.

He had to think a little on how they'd fit into the London atmosphere, through the side window he could see the sun begining to rise and in this part of London people dressed fairly well, a lot of business and professional people. He chose a rather smart looking suit, shirt and tie, very James Bondish he thought. Getting dressed he even found a nice aftershave and dabbed a little on. The Korean agent would not suspect an everyday Londoner to be on his tail.

Ty returned and stood there waiting for approval, his look was well, unexpected for this young normally shy soldier. "Well?" He asked them.

Scorpio was in process of fiercely going through the wardrobes, when she heard Sam's voice.

"Business, you say? Well, I'll try to find something..."

She sighed and looked at the pile of clothes. Obviously in this flat the women of LA were living, as there were dozens of female clothing, but none of them she was used to - of course there were no uniforms...

Finally she put together what she thought would be a nice London businesswoman's suit - trousers with a matching jacket and a white silk blouse. Elena looked at the mirror. Combat boots looked ridiculos with that. She swore under her breath and sat on the bed amongst piles of clothing, pulling them off. Couple more minutes were spent to find some hold-ups and mid-heeled shoes in the bedroom and wear them. Another look at a mirror, this time more satisfied, and a hairpin from a nearby dressing table tied her hair back.

Lena moved to the door in the main room, but stopped when her sight caught her bag laying on the floor with her weapons next to it. This time she swore more loud. There was no place in her new attire to hide even a small pistol now, not saying about her favoured big sidearm. The woman recalled about the purses she saw somewhere and grabbed one randomly, pulling the zip open. It was used by the LA girls or by previous tenants if there were any as it was stuffed with anything that you can usually find in a woman's purse, plus (her eyes widened a bit) a thick wallet inside was full of pound bills and coins, and a credit card was hiding deep in it. Those LA guys made sure not to be short of money. Scorpio picked up her sidearm, shoved it in the purse, digging it under the pile of cosmetics so it'd not be visible but easy to reach, and returned to others, zipping it and accomodating it on her shoulder.

He buttoned hp his jacket felt for his Beretta in his waist band behind his back and wished for a shoulder holster and headed out the door. He spoke over his shoulder. "Captain, he headed north. We're in Portalnd Mews, I have a hunch he'll head for a station with the early morning peak hour to cover him. Tottenham Court is the nearest thataway. He'll stand out, Korean's are not common around here and I can pick him out easy."

The woman blushed slightly when she heard a hint in Corporal's words and silently followed him outside, her feet recalling how to walk on heels, and herself listening to his ideas, pondering over them. When they left the house, she stopped.

"I guess you're right, Corporal. Now one more thing. We can't use ranks in the crowds and on the streets, can we? So we'll have to act as a couple heaing to work I think... At this time boss and her employee will be unnatural... My Russian name will surely be outstanding too, so you'll have to invent one for me. Luckily enough I managed to fight away my accent while serving in SGC, so that won't be a problem. What do you think about and is there anything else you can offer for stealth, Tyrone?"

Scorpio fiddled with her new purse, which was busy trying to slide down from her shoulder. She thought, waiting for Corporal to reply:

"Damn, I really need to wear civilan whenever possible, or I'll forget how to be a woman completely..."

"My old sergeant always told me, if ya gonna lie about yer name, keep it simple and close to your own so's you don't forget." He began and squinted in the early morning light. He checked his watch, seven fifteen am. "Ellen, an old girlfriend of mine, she was a redhead as well ma'am. Married with kids now...at twenty two, go figure." He headed north across the street to the lane he last saw the target and stopped. In between the curbside gutter and footpath, there was about half a metre of hard clay, where the grass didn't grow in the shadows of the buildings. He knelt and checked the ground. "This way ah..Ellen, he's headed straight for Tottenham....hmmph lousy football team." He added.

"Well, I'm Ellen then..." - Captain said thoughtfully. Corporal's words awoke her own memories about her boyfriend, killed long ago during the First Campaign. She wasn't in any relationship since then, chasing her career, climbing ranks. Only now the woman realised that she was probably doing that with the single desire to shove her feelings deep, bury them under military mundanity. Maybe it was the time to change things now, but it can wait till the mission ends.

Her grim thoughts were interrupted by Ty's words again. This time Scorpio snickered at the football team comment.

"Hey, Ty, I know nothing about Russian sports, and you're saying something about English teams." She went serious. "Ok, Tottenham it is... Hold a second, Tyrone..."

She opened her purse and pulled out a London map that she noticed earlier. Obviously she was now posessing a bag of one of LA females as no Londoner would carry a map of his own city around. Lena quickly found Portland Mews on the map and Tottenham Underground Station.

"So, we're here, near Dean Street and the station is there on Oxford Street. And what's worse, it's an interchange station with two lines there, so if we lose him, we can as well chase trains in all four directions. So, how do you think, Tyrone, would our client go on a big street to use the crowd of the rush hour?"

"If he's heading to the Embassy, then he'll travel south one station, and then take a Piccadilly tarin at the Leicseter Square, which means that we'd better catch him before he takes a train, or at least before he changes one as then it'll be a very long travel to Acton... He dodged a man with the typical business look, dark suit, umbrella, even though the forecast was for sunshine. "Hey watch it." He yelled and continued with his conversation as the crowd grew thicker closer to Tottenham. "I spent about a year on exchange with the Brits and came back later to do an advanced rifleman's course. I stayed in a flat not far from here."

Rounding a corner with the tube entrance in sight, Ty stopped and held up his hand. "There he is, heading for the ticket office. Jeans, black leather jacket and sunglasses." He pointed to an Asian fellow, about mid thirties, slightly balding about five feet nine inches tall.

"I never was in Britain myself." - Scorpio said, when there was no one around for a split second. - "In fact, I was only to USA and that'd be SGC to be more accurate."

She also stopped at the corner, her feet glad for an opportunity to rest, and memorized every trait of their target standing in queue for tickets now, her brain trained in those things now would tell him out of hundred of Asians if he'd have enough luck to meld with them. Elena began walking towards the ticket office too, with Ty beside her. She whispered to him:

"We can't catch him now, too many people around. We'll have to wait for a moment until we're relatively lonely. So let's keep an eye on him and buy tickets too. Remember, act casual, like it's your daily routine."

They were now in the tail of the line for tickets and she raised her voice when the last man of it turned around, giving them a curious look.

"So, are you ready for that today presentation of yours, Tyrone? You said it's very important..."

"...selling these new 3D screens for business uses is going to take some..." he paused as he kept one eye on the target. The man had purchased his ticket and headed inside for the esculators. Not wanting to lose him, Ty whispered to his CO. "With this line we'll lose the goon. I've got an idea." He said and he stepped out of the line and went to one of the Tube attendants at the gate. "Oh, I'm sure, beloved, you'll find a way to talk those conservative clients into buying some of them."

She then nodded briefly and nearly imperceptable, allowing him to try his idea and thought with half-mischief:

"We'd better not forget to switch back in the "normal" mode immediately after this mess ends, or something... wrong might occur... But as for now, if your job can bring you some fun to colour the daily routine, then what the heck?"

And Scorpio went to Ty and the woman, thanking her with another brief nod. This time Ovcharenko was first to place her arm through man's and said:

Ovcharenko didn't like the news at all. If their prey will manage to slip away on an interchange station, they're as well as finished with the hunt. Doors opened as the vehicle stopped and Scorpio pulled Ty to the closest exit, hoping to be at least closer to it when some passengers leave, but they moved only a metre towards there since their advancement was rudely interruped by a flow of Brits wishing to get to their work who flooded the carriage of SG-4.

Then the doors closed again and the red train of Northern Line quickly accelerated, speeding to the Warren Street Station. Passengers lazy began exchanging their place in the carriage, getting ready to get off on a big station and now Elena was hoping only joining with those who were going to get off it there as it was completely impossible to be first now for them with new people blocking the way to exit, who weren't going to move a millimetre until it was completely unavoidable.

As Jamuljin relaxed and told her his ideas, she already came up with her own, pulling him towards the esculator leading to the Victoria line platforms and via it surface.

The esculator seemed agonisingly slow, but eventually they reached the top and slowly the crowds dispersed. "C'mon I know a copper, he's at London Central, but if I can call him, he'll get us into the surveillance rooms at the local here." He tired to remember the area. "I think the watch house is on the corner of Warren and Whitfield streets, can't be certain though." He looked at his hand, blood poured from a large cut down the side. He kept his voice low. "If we get through this ok Cap, maybe we can..." The words slipped away as he grimaced at the pain and saw the trail of blood he was leaving behind.

Scorpio listend to her Corporal half-ear only, trying to spot at least a sign of the Korean agent's presence, but she failed. There was one of these often occasions in the Tube when trains going in both directions of the same line arrive at a station almost simultaneously, and their prey would be sitting now in any carriage of them or he would have used the doubled crowds to slip on the streets.

"What we maybe can, Tyrone?" - She turned to him and asked, her attention caught by a sudden silence. She saw him grimacing at the pain and bleeding and rolled her eyes for a second, sighing. - "Let me guess... You earned that when that vending machine fought you back? Come on, let's get over there..."

Elena guided him to the nearest unoccupied bench on the platform as the first train speed away, with the second one going to follow his example in ten seconds. The Captain sat, showing Ty to sit beside her too and opened her purse, searching for some bandage, being very careful to not expose her sidearm hidden under women's stuff to a random observer who might appear nearby.

"Let's see if there's something in my purse, or we'll have to visit a First Aid station on the station" - Lena said to Tyrone who was helding his cut clenched with other hand to prevent it from bleeding badly.

Dong-sun Goh was never one to panic, he calmly walked out of the station and caught a taxi. As he got in he looked behind him, the two SGC agents had vanished in the London peak hour crowd. He smiled, they'll track him, but he'll be waiting for them. "Heathrow please." He said politely and retrieved his cell phone. It was routed through several phony user's so it would take MI6 ages to trace him. After a moment of punching numbers the phone rang and a young woman answered in English. "Hello."

"Maya, comrade. It's Dong. Put the Major on."

Accepting the ministrations of his boss with good grace Ty looked at those lustrous green eyes and caught the scent of her hair, he went numb inside and a lump formed in his throat. "Cap...Elena." He began. "Does this mean I'm in the team now?" He at least managed to smile, even though his hand was throbbing madly, not as much as his heart though. Her touch made him feel.... "About the NK spook, we'll get him, he won't get far, and even if he leaves Britain, we can still find him...ouch...sorry." More than tempted to lean over and kiss her, it took every bit of his fibre not to. "We'll get him...."

Elena finished applying bandages before answering Tyrone, ignoring his questions for a while. She of course noticed how he was looking at her, his light shade of nervousness when talking to her. Russian Captain understood where the wind was blowing from as she already saw this once... Long ago, there in Union yet...

"Ouch... He's falling in love with me... Perfect timing, I'd say..."

Aloud Scorpio said, while fixing the knot on the bandage and putting the rest in her purse:

"I need people on my team, and you've some skill... After all, back home they say - you can't do something, we'll teach you how; you don't want to do something - we'll make you." - Lena winked to Ty and stood up. - "But don't forget, I promised to make a decision after the mission ends, and it's far from over yet. Come on, let's try to find that friend of yours - you're right in one thing, Ty - we'll get that spook."

He let go then and walked towards the exite gates, as he was doing so, another train load of passengers came up two esculators and in the rush he was pushed through, he time only for one quick glance toward Elena before the barriers opened and he was out on the street level. Ovcharenko patiently waited for Ty's return, agreeing silently with the idea to let him check outsides as he knew this city way better than she did. She strolled lazyly around the platform, not going too far from the bench they were on few minutes ago, so he'd easily spot her, casting cautious side glances at the exit from time to time.

There were two more train arrivals since Corporal left and Elena knew that more then ten minutes passed since his left as she knew the time interval between the tube trains now. It was more than enough to check the entrance and return back unless something happened. No matter how the Captain was wishing to stay calm, she was getting a bit worried now, so she headed to the exit gates herself, looking for Tyrone in the entering crowd while going outside.

There was no sign of the man at either places, so only one thought crossed the mind of the Russian woman as she moved a bit aside from the traffic.

"Just very perfect great... What do I do now, let me ask?"

The woman wasn't uniformed and had nothing on her head and she realised that before it was too late and any additional suspicion was risen in the crowd.

"Yes, I am she..." - The Captain had to tense her memory, trying to recall how to address the British Police as western ones tend to have their own ranking instead of sharing the ranks with their armies. - "...Constable. Since you know my real name, I assume you were briefied a bit about our mission, right?"

"Yes, ma'am, I was told to assist you any way possible."

Now Elena's face lightened up.

"Then I'd very like to see some footage from the security cameras in this area. First we lost that spook, now my teammate dissapeared somewhere..."

Lena dodged a man who rushed between her and Constable without even a smallest excuse and growled queitly as he succeded in stepping on her foot after all.

As Cate entered the other room, closed the door gently and began to undress, she noticed that she was a little on the nose. It'd been almost three days since she had bathed and so she took what time she had and removed all her clothing, laid it out on one of the two beds and stepped into the shower room.

The hot water felt so good as she lathered her tired and scarred body. She felt the lash marks on her back and shuddered. The North Koreans were most efficaint in dealing out pain, one in particular a cruel Colonel by the name of Dong. Other memories flooded her mind, her honeymoon night with Scott, she missed him so much. Another notch for the Korean's, as they were the principle supplier to the Taliban and hence the death of her husband. She would not let that go unpunished.

When she had finished and towelled herself down, she went through the clothing to find something suitable. The Lucian didn't shrink away from quality, that was a certainty. Armani, Gabana and Yves St. Laurant. And jewellry, watches, only the best, their budget didn't seem to have boundries. All of it of course would go back to the SGC, but not after she took her lot. Freedom of movement was needed, but classy. She chose a black Nike track suit and runners, straight out of a box unused, one size bigger than her own, but lacing them tightly sufficed. With her own weapons aboard the Hammond, she found a very nice pistol and cartridges. Examining, it was a local HK Mk23. There was a shoulder harness for it and that went over her Tee, then the Nike top. Lastly she picked up a small backpack and stuffed it with loot. Perhaps fifty thousand US dollars or more in mixed currency, rings, earings and a couple of lovely watches. Her own Tudor watch she fitted back on and then finally she returned to the living room. Two MI6 were eating as they watched the large computer monitor and Raiden hadn't returned.

"Excuse me, do you have a cellphone we could take with us?" She asked one of them.

One man reahced into a bag at his feet and opened it, there were several good phones laying atop various other spook items. "Take your pick ma'am." He said with a slight highland accent. Cate reached in and retrieved a dark blue Motorolla and prayed Elena had the sense to take her own ohone with her. She dialled the memorised number, at least it was ringing.

Waiting for her friends response she called out toward the other room. "Raiden are you done yet?"

Once Batou was in the room he closed the door behind him. He looked through the closet for something to wear. He decided on a Lucian Aliance uniform hidden in the back of the closet, knowing that when people saw him they would just think that one more Asian-European was going to one of those Sci-Fi conventions. Plus the outfit would give him the ability to carry his cherished Wraith stunner. While undressing Batou got a whiff of himself. Having realized that much like the Flight Lt. he was smelling kind of ripe, he decided to take a shower. Because of this he didn't hear the Flight Lt. call for him.

The images swapped and changed a few times until finally Sally spoke agian. "Catherine, Raiden...your tango is headed for Heathrow, terminal seven. That will put him on a direct charter flight to Tehran, the only aircraft ther belongs to the North Korean Poeples Republic."

Cate grunted silently, she had already taken a disliking to Sally's personality. She could tell her attitude was leaning more toward the male factor, Raiden. "Oh well that's women for you." She mused to herself. "Right thank you 'Sal'." Cate made a point of sarcasm, subtle, perhaps not.

"Well, for a human, Cate you have good heart, I know that. I agree to your terms of reconcilliation. "Good idea, you might want to use this." Cate tossed her phone over to him. "It's on re-dial....." She opened the door but before she left completely Cate noticed a camping goods shop right next to the Police station. "Tell her I'll be there in a few minutes. I have to buy something."

Entering the store, she looked around at the various items for sale and then spotted exactly what she needed, Cate picked up two things she had left behind in her pack on the Odyssey. A torch and a Leatherman utility knife. She went to the counter and handed over a wad of bills, the salesgirl was about to ring it up and Cate simply said. "Keep the change." And promptly left. Counting the money, the woman found that Cate had given her three times more than the worth and shook her head. "Aussies..eh?"

Coming out of the store, Cate waved at Raiden and headed straight for the Watchouse, items stuffed into her pants. She was anxious to see her friend Elena, and her face showed it.

Elena stood there in the Watchouse, waiting for both her friends and some info about Tyrone, who truly like vanished. It was too late to hunt for their Korean as he was in air already by this time, moving around London swift like a lightning. Phone rang again and she answered it, hoping for some good news. Batou's voice raised her spirits a bit on this hard day.

"Ok, Raiden, I'm waiting for her. The Korean already left the Britain, so our next stop will be Tehran I think. I won't calm down until I'll go through him, after all it's all his fault that Ty's missing."

Scorpio glanced at the officer again and he shook his head yet again.

"But, I hope we'll hear something from him any moment soon, it'd be a shame to lose him on our first mission. Well, Batou, Cate is almost here, so we'll talk a bit later."

She heard apparently Cate's footsteps downstairs and hanged her phone, hearing a dialogue between Flight and that clerk girl. Lena turned to face the entrance, pushed the purse, which was constantly trying to slide down, back on her shoulder and shifted her weight from one leg to another. She really forgot what it was like to walk on heels with all that army life.

After speaking with the desk clerk who gave Cate directions as to where Lena would be, she started for the stairs to the surveilance room, she hadn't gone far when her friend appeared. Running up and hugging Elena, she realised how close they were, almost like sisters, but most definitely better behaved. "Lena, I missed you. Nothing on Ty, but I have an idea and boy will you be surprised by the little 'gift' MI6 gave us." She looked at Elana's clothing and shoes, not quite right for their next jaunt in pursuit of this Korean. "Come on, next door is an Adventure shop, we should all be suitably attired...backpacking hikers will be a good look I would think don't you?"

"And I missed you too, Cate, especially when things went downhill, I needed more than one brain around. And now, OK, let's go see that little gift of yours and pay a visit to the Adventure shop."

Elena said goodbye to the surveillance officer and smiled broadly at Cate for a second.

"So it'll be backpacking hikers, eh? Then I can only hope we won't need the hitchikers' guide to the galaxy on this mission."

Cate carried herself well, despite the knowledge she had in her head. Ty still hadn't been found and she was worried. Now was the time to keep her friends close and ensure the remainder of Lena's team didn't fall apart through sorrow and loss. "Yes we do work better with all our heads working as one." She said as she released her friend's embrace. They now stood in front of the car, Cate knew that Lena would be thinking "Wow", but there'd be time for ten questions later. Ovcharenko also wondered where Cate was going to find all the new equipment they needed as a single Adventure shop couldn't have all they needed in stock, but she was more intrigued by that "Sally" she mentioned as she saw noone else around, unless she was sitting in the car and was hidden by the tinted glass. But her Executive Officer made her stiffle a chuckle and Scorpio said in her most pouting voice, trying not to burst in laughter:

A rather polite English woman's voice piped in seemingly from within the car as Raiden climbed out. "Good morning Captain Elena Sergeevna Ovcharenko, if you would be so kind as to place your thumb on the ID pad please." A black panel about the size of a cellphone popped out of the dash just above the glove compartment. "Doing so in no way contracts you to any recent transactions you may have made with my department. You are merely being identified along with your team as co-owners of me." The voice was almost giggling if that were possible. Cate stood back and allowed Elena to sit in the passenger seat.

"That answer your question Lena?" She herself almost burst out laughing. "But best you do as she says. And Raiden, if you crane your neck over there.." She pointed to the Adventure and Camping shop nearby. "That is where we're gearing up. The rest of our stuff is on the Odyssey, so if we need anything, it's only a call away."

Raiden and Cate waited for Elena to catch up and when they were about to enter the shop she explained her plan to get them into Iran, safely. She chose the noisy street atmosphere to tell them so no one else would pick up the conversation. "Once we're inside, pick up anything you think hikers would need. I have a contact in Tehran who can get us to a safe house. We'll be basically from Russia so Lena this will suit you, the Iranian's are still on reasonable terms with your country so no biggy there. Maybe it was even somewhat better as she doubted that Korean would recognize her if only her eyes will be visible. She managed to add her two cents into this small briefing before Flight pushed the door open.

"Agree. We then will have much warmer attitude from natives than if we'd pretend to be westerners. And you, Raiden, can be one of our eastern or southern tribes, who are virtually untellable from Japanese, Koreans, you name it. Then we can be all from my country."

Lena followed her friend inside of the shop.

Elena now found a backpack to her liking and was now turning it inside out to check seams and strings and continued talking in normal voice again.

"So I've no idea about hijabs colours in the theocratic orthodox muslim countries like Iran. But I can tell you that in Chechnya women wore colourful muslim clothing, like blue and green, and that'd be the European center of Islam, or so do they say. And when I was passing Tatarstan once I spotted the same thing and the republic would be the islamic center of all Tatars and Russia. But I'm afraid that in Iran we'll have to wear paranjas, Cate, burkas, if we don't want some zealots to finish us on spot, though I'm not too sure about it."

But yes there are someplaces..we'll just have to be careful and besides my 'friend' will help." She came first to coats. "Chose ones that do not show your figure and at least covers you bum, and trousers, full length will be fine." For herself. Cate chose three 3/4 length coats. two in a rather drab khaki and one a powder blue. Next was pants, for those she would have to try them on. Though she was tall, she had a small waist and sometimes it was hard for her to get length and waist right. She found some very nice biege cargo pants that might do. She waited for her friend to go through him a bit as she would just kill him a little, and turned to face the security, eyes widening for a split a second as she saw the Samoan. She was tall, and on heels, but that guy was even higher. And he was like the Russians say "wider cross himself." The woman felt tenseness crackling in the air and tried to cool the situation down or it'd end bad and not in their favour without some grenades in her posession.

"It's OK, Cate. We all know what the reason of this stress is and the sooner and better we'll do our job, the more are the chances that Tyrone will be happy and proud of us when we'll find him finally. Now, where we were we? Clothes, I think... Oh, and Sally would need another ticket for the simmetry."

The Captain did her best to stifle a giggle bursting out of her mouth and sort of dragged her XO and friend back to the clothing section. She left the couple there for a minute when she went to pick up the backpack she chose for herself, giving an evil eye to a shopper who was also eyeing it greedily. Her gaze was emitting strong enough "MINE!!" emotion for him to shiver and preoccupy himself with another one, so she had no reasons left to argue with him and collected it without any problems, returning to her team.

Scorpio reached out for some khaki pants she had spotted before the brawl began, and for a sand coloured coat and a similar coloured duster. And she need to try them on, but a little advice was always valued by her.

"Well, folks, what'll do better, that coat or this duster? And please try to avoid comments that might lead to getting attention of the "tag team" again in one way or another."

"Well, since we're all ready, then I can use some leftside driving practice."

She picked up her now filled backpack and went outside, guessing her teammates will follow. Elena approached the car's rear and put the pack on the ground.

"Sally, be so kind and open your trunk, please. And I'm sorry for my bad temper earlier, I really meant nothing like that."

"Just a second, Elena."

The lid slowly opened and Ovcharenko thanked the car, even if it was as odd as it seemed to her, placed her backpack inside, and moved to the driver's door. She noticed the ticket under wiper and stopped with the door half-opened.

"Cate, listen, just plainly theoretically, who pays that fine?"

"I can answer that for you Elena and I forgive you." Sally said cheerfully. "Place the ticket in the reader within my glove compartment, the details will be sent to Q at MI6, she will forward onto your commander at the SGC, Major General Henry Landry I presume..or I can send it directly to your father Catherine, if you wish?"

"Ah, that would be a no, thank you Sally." Cate's mind raced through the countless times in her life that the Admiral had 'fixed' things for her. She wasn't about to start that cycle again. She slipped into the passenger side and allowed Raiden to take the back. When the trunk was open, Cate noticed some large black boxes in there, she was curious, it didn't leave a lot of storage room.

"I wonder Elena what 'Sally' has for us in the way of surprises." She knew this would tickle a response from the car and guessed that weapons would be at the top of the list. She hoped so.

Scorpio grabbed the ticket, took her place in the car and the door shut close itself behind her. Ignition key went in the lock, and Lena did as Sally told her to, watching the piece of paper being scanned. After the car said all data were sent, she shoved it merciless in her purse, then turning the key and smoothly moving from the parking spot.

"Yeah, Cate, it'd be a very interesting story to hear while we're heading to the airport, Sally, wouldn't it?"

Sally reponded by tinting the windows so that the people outside the car could not see in, and brought up a heads up display on the windshield not unlike those found in Puddle Jumpers. "As you can see Elena you will still be able to drive as I display some of my secrets and no one outside the car will be any the wiser." As Sally spoke a schematic of her came up on the HUD. "I have been fitted with 2 rocket pods, smoke dispersers, oil slick generators, an adaptive cloak, all terrain tyres, reactive armor plating, an EMP wave generator and twin hood mounted machineguns. And that is naming just a few of my "HARDWARE" systems."

"Hey Flight wouldnt't that be kinda hard for Sally to do right now seeing as your dad is not on Earth at the moment?" Raiden asked.

"What, no 125 mm cannon, our little Sally T-90M?" Elena chuckled as she stopped due to a red light, ready to turn on other street, using Sally's adviced route on a navigator. "And what about your software then?"

Captain moved from place as the traffic lights turned green and immediately hit the brakes since a wise guy decided to speed across the crossroad not minding his red light at all. Lena moved the car again, calmly continuing her question, like nothing happened.

"To be more accurate, do you've something aboard among your software to punish that cretin without exploding him?"

"Re-directing to RAF Northolt Elena." Sally said as the steering wheel made corrections in the traffic and turns into Marylebone Road. "My software is a unique architecture. As best as I can tell you and that is all you may know at this time. Is that your Doctor Lee has been instrumental in it's development and was based on that used in current generation fighter aircraft." Sally told them. "I also have a selection of personal weapons for you in the larger case in my boot. All those you would be familiar with as well as as Stinger with eight rounds and one Javelin with three rounds in one of the other cases. I hope this will be satisfactory."

"Ah, yes I think so." Cate said as she whistled through her teeth. "You think it's enough guys?" She asked her companions then asked Sally a question of her own. "Sally why Northolt?"

"You have a C17 at your disposal Catherine."

"Oh, Sally, now I know where that urge to pull the wheel at me comes from - I'm used to talking fighters. And that weapon case sounds neat. It'll be good and enough, thanks." - She answered both Sally and Cate. Then the woman wriggled in her seat a bit to found a more comfy position. - "So, you're flying to Tehran with us then, I assume?"

"Yes of course Elena, I'm part of your team now. We have company." At that point a Police Range Rover pulled in front of them, lights flashing, another came in the rear. The front car had a digital sign in it's back window, showing in red, 'Follow me' "This is our escort. They will ensure a speedy arrival." Sally's voice added.

Tapping Elena on the knee, Cate looked at the dash. "Damn I can't even feel this Lena, we're doing ninety K already. It's as if we're hardly moving." She tilted her head toward Raiden in the back. "We shall pass though Northholt gates in approximatley eight minutes twenty seconds Catherine. I've already sent word you're coming so we'll go directly to the tarmac."

As they turned into the entrance of the Air base, the two Police cars veered away, in the last moment the leading car was still in sight, the sign in the back window flashed "Good hunting." Then they were gone. An airman on duty, rifle at the ready waved them through and stood at attention once they drew near him, another in the booth was on the phone, obviously telling someone SG4 had arrived. Cate hit Raiden not too gently on the leg, once then twice. "Hey sleepy head, wake up we're here."

He sat up with a flurry of hands pushing Cate away. "I'm awake Cate, I'm awake I was just resting." He lied terribly, but at least he caught a little nap. "So where are we at anyways?"

"Yes I am fine thank you Elena, I just hate flying, please ensure those nice looking Air force boys secure me down well." The car chortled. "Team update coming through." Her systems whirred and a screen popped up with an image and data as she read it out.

"Adam Onikil Age: 36, Rank: Petty Officer, Second Class USN SEALS." She stopped the began again. "Oh he's hot, nice catch Elena and Catherine, he is waiting for you in the forward section near the loadmaster."

{Flt Lt. Catherine Hayden}

The noise of hydralic rams whined throughout the aircraft as the ramp closed behind them, soon they were rumbling down the taxiway and on their way to Iran. Cate opened her door and spoke to both Sally and Raiden, he voice hard and steely now as she focused for the mission. "Sally you'll be fine, you're already locked down well."

"I feel sick."

"Nonsense, buck up you're a part of our team now. Come om Raiden, wakey wakey, let's go and meet our new teammate. Lena...I have first call on him." She winked wickedly at her friend, closed the door hurriedly and rushed forward, anxious to be first to meet the new boy.

Sitting next to the loadmaster, Cate stopped and bent a little. She thrust out her hand to the stranger. "Flight Lieutenant Catherine Hayden, you must be Adam. Don't deny it, we just got your update." She jerked her thumb over her shoulder toward the bright red Vauxhall R8. "The lovely looking girl there is your CO, Captain Elena Sergeevna Ovcharenko, or Lena when we're not amongst others. The young Lieutenant there is Batou Kusangi or Raiden and you can call me Cate."

The C17 lifted off the tarmac shortly after, the wheels stopped their rumbling and clunked in the home position, in the vast fusleage Sally piped up again. "I swear I'm going to be sick."

"Cate, Cate, Cate... Always running after boys when it should be opposite..." Cate nodded as she released Adam's hand, the update on him came direct from the SGC so it was a permanent posting without Elena's approval. Which made Cate think that he must be good because General Landry always consulted with his team leaders beforehand, this was a special field case though and she knew he would only pick the best for them. Her Australian accent never often gave away her origins, though sometimes it did, whenever she chose. "So Adam where are you from, your last name is unusual?" She stretched her long arms, it had been a very tiring thirty six hours for them, little or no sleep.

Before Adam could answer she saw Raiden close the hatchway and come forward, she waited for him to join them and when he came near she ruffled his hair. "At least someone got some shut eye." She smiled and rubbed her stomache. "Elena you said the magic word, food. Then sleep, we have a little over five hours."

She took her table knife, placed her right hand over her left on the table and plunged the knife down, of course it went through her fingers but it was a point given. "Then.." She giggled. "..you always said I could talk a prisoner into submission."

"Oh yes the stunner." Cate lifted it off the table and turned it over and pointed at Raiden. "I can tell you what it feels like Raiden, would you like to know?" She smiled evily, shook her head, then set the weapon back on the table and pushed it away. "Those beaming nodes? They're Doctor Lee's aren't they? How did you....never mind, they'll come in handy." Adam was silent, she knew what it felt like to be the newbie on a team. "Adam, I can tell you this. I know from your file that you can blow a one inch hole in a steel wall if you have to, we may well have the need and you'll be the first to know from me."

{Petty Officer Adam Onikil}

Adam looked over the gear that Raiden was displaying, he remembered Dr. Lee, and wasn't entirely sure he trusted that he would be beamed completely intact.
He wasn't quiet out of shyness, but because he wasn't one for small-talk, or most talk really, but he appreciated Cate's efforts. "I would rather blow the entire wall up," he give another almost-unnoticeable small smirk. His lamb was already gone, he had apparently been very hungry.

Batou caught the look that the Petty Officer threw the gear and said, "Hey don't worry about the effectiveness of these things, they work quite well. I took the second trip after we got them working. And in case you're wondering we sent a rat through first."

"Haven't we all," Batou said, rolling his eyes, "But as my CO will tell you if I've tested the tech and have put my stamp of approval on it then it's good enough for her............except that one time......," Batou trailed off as he caught the look on Elena's face.(Please don't say anything Cap.) he thought pleadingly.

Captain was savouring her lamb, while listening to all the chit chat at the table, looking at her friends as they spoke and letting their words meld with her brain. Elena winked at Cate and her knife games and made a knowing face at Adam's wish to blow the wall. She could do that herself easily, now the inch hole was something way harder. Ovcharenko cleaned the last bone of the yummy lamb and relaxed in the chair, wiping the napkin across her lips. She put it back on table.

"Well... Considering you sitting here in one piece... At least I hope so..." A subtle smirk marked her face for a split second. "Then these things are really neat. But poor rat... Like Barney Calhoun once said - I still have nightmares about that cat..."

Now Scorpio couldn't held back a giggle and started at the icecream in front of her, chuckling in her fist.

Her own plate empty Cate looked around for something else, the bread rolls were gone and she finished her desert, but still felt hungry. But that figured as none of them had a decent meal in almost seventy two hours, or sleep for that matter. Her tummy growelled restlessly. The conversation about Doctor Lee made her giggle, at least he wasn't as bad as Doctor Felger who she met once, between Lena and herself they could have taught him Apllied Physics. "Ah yes Adam, we can all do that. Thee months ago on an off-world mission we needed a very small opening in a wall about a foot thick. None of us knew exactly how to do it without a lot of noise, but Drake did. He is or was a member of our team then andthough he could be the most annoying man on the planet, he did very well with explosives. If you ever meet him you'll know why." At least now the memory of their one night stand was gone and she no longer smiled at the thought of him, or the scare she had a few days ago.

Batou caught the look that the Petty Officer threw the gear and said, "Hey don't worry about the effectiveness of these things, they work quite well. I took the second trip after we got them working. And in case you're wondering we sent a rat through first."

"Oh yes we called him Remy didn't we. I always hoped that he had a lovely journey to wherever it was he went..but as we don't have second guesses, we'll just have to trust that every one of those nodes has been guaranteed."

{Petty Officer Adam Onikil}

Adam shrugged, "I've heard of Lee's reputation..."

"I don't think he did it alone, something tells me Sam Carter played a big part in it."

Cate raised an eyebrow at him, the stunner was still on the table, her lips parted in the faintest smile. And then there it was, one solitary uneaten roast potato sitting on Raiden's plate, the smell of gravy still fresh, she grabbed her fork and reached across and swiped it before he could protest. "Thanks Batou." She said grinning and popped it in her mouth and devoured it.

An alarm sounded on the plane, the hadn't even slept when the Captain's voice filled the small diner. "We've had some luck Captain Ovcharenko, we have a good tailwind behind us and we'll be arriving in Iran air spce an hour ahead of schedule, ETA now four and half hours, you better get some sleep, over."

The announce came just in time for Elena to finish her meal completely and wipe her mouth. She stood up and went to the bathroom, half-turning at the door to speak to her friends.

"Alright, you heard him. We need to get a nap. Oh, Cate, make sure they won't occupy my bed while I'm not here."

She smiled and winked at SG-4 and ducked in the small room to wash herself after meal and before sleep.

Still sucking her teeth a little from the lovely RAF food, Cate stood and stood nearby Lena. "We have bunks girl and I'm on top, I don't want to be underneath you again when you have midnight wind." She laughed and returned near the table.

The bunks were in small curtained suites either side of the diner come req room. There was no need to change except take her boots off. She pointed to the port side. "Okay you two over there, and if one of you so much as moves in our direction while we sleep, remember a cat always has one eye open." She stood there with hands on hips and waited. She was going to make sure of exactly where the boys were when she slipped into the sheets.

"If you so much as mention Drake's name I will shoot you okay?" She was over that and even though the whole team knew about that night and the drunken mess it turned into, she wasn't about to start a new game with Raiden. "Good night both of you, or what's left of it." She climbed up into the top bunk starboard side, pulled her boots and socks of and got under the covers, drawing the curtain across. She thought she wouldn't sleep, but in a few minutes she was breathing heavily and in her own space.

"Midnight wind, huh? I'll get ya later..." - Thought Elena, returning in the galley. She saw that everybody was already bunked in as all were tired, but first snook up to the port side windows to not disturb the sleeping men. It was dark outside, but her eyes caught the outlines of the Black Sea beneath, and she was near her Motherland, with Ukraine shore showing up. She wished she'd see Caspian Sea instead and Volga curving up from it to the north, with her home somewhere along it, which she left years ago, but Scorpio really needed some rest. She went to the starboard side, and sat on the bunk to pull boots and socks off for a minute, before diving under covers and pulling curtain closed. A turn to face the "wall" and she was in the dreamworld.

Cate felt the bunk move as Lena's weight sat upon it, she heard the boys settle down and called out to them softly, as she would any family doing the same thing at night. "Night everyone sleep well if you can." She dropped her hand over the side and leaned out a little until she touched her friends hair. "Lena..." She whispered. "If I say anything in my sleep, just ignore it ok?" She left her hand their knowing her best friend would hold it for a moment before the two of them were counting the stars in their dreams.

Scorpio hadn't fully fall asleep when she heard Cate's voice and felt touch on hair, so she turned over again to see what's there. She hold the hand of her friend, wishing good night.

"Yes, guys, have a good night and sleep well. And Cate, don't worry, I know you ignore me when I cry out something or try to kill the blanket. Sleep well too."

Elena heard some subtle responce as Cate finally drifted in sleep, and released her hand carefully and wrapped in covers again, trying not to disturb her mates much with noise and fell asleep herself, this time properly.
