I love pretty much everything about Sanctuary, but my number one favorite thing about it is that it was created by Damian Kindler. Despite the fact that it's absolutely incredible, I might not have even started watching it otherwise, but I'm such a huge fan of Damian's writing that I had to watch it no matter what

Sanctury itself will come number 1. ;D There are so many things (little or big) that made me watch Sanctuary for the first time and many more that are keeping me watching it now.
