Would O'Neil make Young's mistake, if Daniel was in Telford's place?

Would O'Neil or SG1 make Young's mistake, if Daniel was in Telford's place?

May be Young make a mistake ,for not vented out the oxygen when the Lucian alliance reach Destiny's gate room.

Young make a command descision , try to save Telford' life ,As Rush pointed out the stone connection break when he step thorough the stargate.

Would Jack make the same mistake , If he was in control and Daniel was in Telford's place.

Jack and Daniel share a pretty stong friendship.

I remember SG1 episode 409 Scorched Earth" , when the alien ship was about to transform Enkaran refugees's new homeworld and kill them as well.
Jack set up the naqudia reactor to blow the ship up, but Daneil went to the alien ship to try reason with them.
In the last moment Jack still aloow the bomb to detonate , know it would kill Daniel as well. But Daniel was able to reason with the Alien ship in the last moment.

Jack was willing to sacrifices Daniel to save the Enkaran refugees.

May be Destiny's situation is different , but would Jack make Young's mistake

In that episode O'Neill did not know that Daniel had gone to the ship. There was no time to even reach the bomb. He was hand tied. I believe that he would have done the same way, even reprehending Young for not doing it.

He should have vented the atmosphere. The same way he did to Telford. Vent it untill all of them passes out, then reanimate him again. If the Lucian Alliance had came to Destiny with it atmosphere already void nothing would have happened. He just needed to keep Greer and Scott in there with Space suits, behind the event horizon. As soon as they pass out reanimete Telford. Quick and easy sweep.

It likely wouldn't have been played as a mistake but as A Noble Decision To Save A Friend's Life
But seriously, when is saving someone's life really a bad thing? If it had been O'Neill, it likely wouldn't have been protrayed as a mistake and yes, I think a plan would have been changed to save a life, or given the series, Daniel would have been brought back from the dead And both would be alive at the end

No he would not. It is a moot point anyway, because Daniel would just ascend and come back later; Daniel could never be in any real mortal danger.

O'Neill would have predicted the possibility of Daniel being brought on the Destiny along with the LA, since we know he's not dead, and would have strategized consequently. Possibly, by placing soldiers, and a couple of snipers, on the surrounding second floor and stairs. While the LA are being catapulted out of the gate, they are easy picking (to shot dead). The venting would have been the back up plan.

You are wrong on both accounts. Jack knew that Daniel had gone to the ship -Teal'c informed him - and he didn't have to reach the bomb to stop it - the bomb wasn't activated yet. Carter gave him the controls and the decision to activate bomb was solely his. And he did it, knowing fully well that it would cost Daniel his life.

People seem to forget that with the exception of 2-3 episodes when Jack was made to hesitate/save SG-1 to service the plot (much like Young in this case) he was consistently portrayed as quite ruthless and putting "greater good" before his team and especially his life. He was in favour of leaving Cassie behind to die, he did leave Daniel behind in TSL and Elliott in Last Stand, he did kill Carter in Entity and shot Teal'c in Enemies and Daniel in Lockdown etc. Similarly, Daniel gave the order to destroy submarine with Jack and Teal'c onboard in Small Victories etc.

As to the OP question: it depends. If Jack was written in character, then he wouldn't have hesitated to vent the room (probably before anybody would step through the gate to not give LA any chances). But if the writers were out of ideas how to get LA onboard and thus he was written to service the plot, much like it happened in SG-1's New Order and Endgame, then he would have behaved like Young did.
