    Destiny Database

Does Destiny's Database have data on all planets it visited on its trip if so does the crew have access to it?

if they do couldn't they find another planet with Naquadah core in other galaxies relay the info to Earth and have them go there and dial Destiny

you have to remember that a LOT of time has passed since then, chances are that planet might not exist.

Do all the Naquadah planets explode?

not usually, but they have been mined or destroyed or the planets may be uninhabitable

They don't have a full access to the database since they still lack the master code.

They dealt with these specific issues in an episode. The crew definitely has access to the planets database *and not only Destiny's but also from the seeder ships*, Rush planted a fake Iccarus type planet on their route to keep everyone "hopeful". Eli found out, told Young and Wray overheard him. So far I don't think anyone else knows it's a fake.

They also used the database in other episodes - Air - to show Destiny's flight path, Faith - the lone star and planet was not in it, in Lost - to show Destiny's position inside the galaxy. There might also be other examples.

Assuming all planets were explored with Kino's, would Destiny even know if the planet had Naquahdah within? Unless it was obvious from the surface?

Is naquadria and naquadah radioactive ? If yes, some decent sensors would detect it easily.

Just get Mckay and Zelenka in there for 10 mins and they'll break the code

if its stable and not reactive, there is no radiation, so finding sufficient naquadah or naquadriah in such a way wouldnt work. we already have sensors to find such minerals anyway

Naquadria is very unstable, it's very likely that some of it could be fissioning spontaneously and giving off radiation.

This instability was a problem for a very long time in the show - extracting energy safely, keeping the fluctuations low enough for hyperspace travel, Jonas' planet was about to be destroyed by it.

But you're right on the point that sensors can detect any mineral.

And who's to say that in the time since then, the planet is still even there. Remember stellar drift?

You can make calculations to compensate for that. Factor in original speed, the influence of neighboring objects, the expansion of the universe, etc. It's not easy but it's totally doable.

Did we ever know how they found Icarus?
