yeeaaaahhhh....just when I was starting to think Stargate would be family-friendly again. I mean, I like SGU, but...

Discuss the episode as it airs.

Well I think that was a dream, but I still enjoyed James cracking Scott in the head, maybe a little too much.

Is she dreaming?

SupremeLegate
May 14th, 2010, 06:08 PM
Well I started my own thread for this, but it can just be deleted or merged with this one.

Moving on...

I am sure it was a dream, but I really enjoyed seeing Scott get cracked in the head. Maybe a little too much.

Mr. Domino

so, uh...now I'm guessing not a dream...

May 14th, 2010, 06:09 PM
Definitely a "nightmare" sequence.

arrakis44
May 14th, 2010, 06:10 PM
Yeah, this is getting pretty weird. I too assumed it was a dream.

There's no way she murdered Scott in reality.

SupremeLegate
May 14th, 2010, 06:11 PM
Seems to be taking its time, wonder if this is some kind of mass dream.

When it started I kinda wanted the sex to be real, so I could have a vailed reason to hate Scott.

p.s. Also the mods are quick, my thread is all ready deleted. :D

And... now I have no idea what is going on.

MJCS

For a moment there I thought he was dead. Looks like everyone is dreaming or something

My money's on mass hallucination.

My money's on mass hallucination.

I am thinking we are seeing multipile hallucinations. Should be interesting when James runs into Scott.

Greer thinks that Wray is plotting
James is afraid of being alone
Scott is seeing his son
Volker...nothing

Do we really need the spoiler tags in this thread? I am honestly asking.

Yeah, that seems like what's going on but why? O_o

Mr. Domino

My money is on Frank's disembodied katra or whatever roaming the ship causing all this.

Is it me or does it look like a different kid playing Scott's son?

This is not going to end well.

Mr. Domino
May 14th, 2010, 06:25 PM
Hallucination episodes can be great when there's a good plot point behind them, like the REM fatigue episode in TNG, but Space Ticks just doesn't sit right with me.

That is, unless they turn big and blue and start yelling SPOON!

Yeah, I was hoping for something a little more original, but I like the episode so far so I'll let it slide.

That was indeed a standout episode of TNG. Yeah I'm a little dissapointed in the space tick development too. I guess it had to happen sometime though. Just think, it could be worse, it could be one of those crazy Macro Virus things from Voyager :)

This episode is way better than last weeks!

SupremeLegate
May 14th, 2010, 06:29 PM
Well I think this epsidoe is more about the hallucination's themselves as apposed to what is cuasing them.

Mr. Domino
May 14th, 2010, 06:30 PM
I'll be interested to see the reasoning behind some of them getting positive hallucinations and others getting negative.

Following that perspective, I think the episode becomes much stronger.

They all seem quite negative

Mr. Domino
May 14th, 2010, 06:39 PM
Ok, revised theory. I think that the ticks are giving people whatever they need to make them isolate themselves from the group, while the tick slowly kills them. For James, it was the fear of people finding out about killing Scott, for Chloe its staying with her dad, for Scott its chasing his son, for Rush its hiding from the aliens, etc., etc.

The only problem with that is snake guy. Not sure what his deal was.

They all seem quite negative

I don't think Scott or Chloe's were. They're getting to see people who are important to them who are normally lost to them.

Chloe's does not seem negative per sa.

Invisible ticks? Say wha? I never saw any indication of that...

The episode is okay. I feel it is one of the weaker episodes so far of the season. We'll see though. Still more to go.

This is one weird episode. Glad to see senator Armstrong again even if he is a hallunciation. I like chris McDonald he's a good actor.

So is Rush still hallucinating, or are they setting up the next episode now?

In my humble opinion, a better version.

Also, I think things are getting a bit better in the last 10 minutes, or so. Let's see how the last 10 minutes turn out.

Mr. Domino

It really makes no sense at all for Greer to have hesitated that long, if he was as much under the influence as we were led to believe. Poorly handled.
