Zero Point Modules: Just what can you do with them?

Well aside from Dialing other galaxies, powering ships, powering shields, powering ancient weapons systems....

I want to know what other functions the Zero Point Module could have?

Just to think of other practical uses for the Zero Point Module.

Shouldnt this be asked in the Stargate atlantis Science and tech section?

Well as the Good Sir Rodney "Meredith" mckay once said that you could fuel entire cities with these things.

So technicly, i guess you could even use this as a McGyver'd bomb
    So i would say=ENDLESS
Plus once empty, it is a nice decoration

Its ! He is watching you!!

True it'd make a nice conversation piece too once it's empty "Yeah that thing powered a City Shield and Dialed another galaxy."

"what can you do with them".

the fact that they contain so much energy makes them perfect for powering things, from your Ipod to a galaxy gun

I'd say dropping the travel time from the MW to PG from 18 days to 4 days is a pretty big enhancement. Didn't Hermiod also say something about the shields in The Siege being weaker without the ZPM?

because that stuff is normally heavily underpowered.

That is not stated anywhere in the show, ever.

does it have to be stated?

                    it's simply true.

we've got tech from a frigging Great Race. besides, only the Deadalus class ever got that much enhancement from power, and that should make it fairly obvious. our ships need approximately 4.5x the power they generate to maximize their shields and hyperdrives.

Have we even seen a ZPM on SGU?

                      (Please answer ASAP, I'm DTK.)

Yes it has to be stated, otherwise you're just making stuff up, which doesn't fly. You can say whatever you want, but it doesn't actually make it have any relevance to the show which is what we are talking about.

The Daedalus is not the only class of starship to receive enhancement from a ZPM, a puddle jumper had its hyperdrive enhanced by one. And lets not forget the great superhive. Plenty of things have been enhanced by a ZPM.

I think it might be a waste of a perfectly good ZPM...but I wonder what a Nuclear Warhead's detonation would be like if it was utilized as a weapon with a ZPM powering it?
