Naruto Appreciation Thread

I'm a fan of Naruto, both the Manga and the Anime, although I track the manga closer than I do the anime. I watch the anime both in english and japanese w/ subtitles. I'm really liking Naruto right now, because he's really started to mature a lot compared to how he used to be. He's actually managed to surpass Jiraiya with his ability to go into sage mode on his own, and even has come up with a jutsu to either extend sage mode, or enter it quickly with the summoning scrolls. Also, Naruto has finally earned the respect of the village he's always wanted. After defeating Pain, he had his 'homecoming' experience similiar to the one that Gaara had gotten upon his return to the Sand Village. Naruto's recent escape from Yamato is probably the most ninja like thing he's ever done. Escaping an ANBU black ops member would be no easy task for anyone, especially someone who is technically a Genin in official rank.

Naruto is definitely well beyond Genin level in power, and his skill level is definitely at Chunin level or above. He's been growing at an accelerated rate more recently. I still think he needs to demonstrate a larger skill set than he has to date, although that is much bigger than when he started. Even so, to truly reach Hokage level, he really can't just rely on his super levels of chakra, from the Kyuubi or from Sage mode either.

I like other manga's and anime too. I also read Bleach, 'History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi', and Asu no Yoichi. Those are still currently written mangas, but I like other older mangas and animes too. Dragonball of course is a favorite, as well as Full Metal Alchemist. I've tried to keep up with the remake of the FMA Anime, Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood.

I watched a decent part of Shippuden, and got bored. There was only so much crying about Sasuke I can handle before it got tiresome and boring. Naruto crying Sasuke like he lost a boyfriend, Sakura crying over Sasuke like she lost a soul mate. As for Sasuke himself, ZZZzzzzz he's boring, he's predictable, he's a bigger crybaby than Naruto and Kishimoto should be shot for doing such a crap storyline with him as a bad guy. I'll wait for the episodes to get way, way, way ahead then do a binge on them to get them over with as quickly as possible.

I can honestly find more to complain about Naruto than praise it. If he Naruto shut up for 5 minutes, he may be able to defeat an enemy without getting his ass kicked, but no, he decides to give away his position. He spends too much time relying on the Kyubi/9 Tails Fox. I always thought Naruto had more potential, but it just drags on. He could easily be like his father, even more powerful with the Kyubi but he whines about learning powerful stuff and fails on the easy stuff like combat. I liked the filler more than the main series for the most part because it spent more time focusing on the other characters.

With that said, Might Guy, Rock Lee and Hinata Hyuga just kick ass. Rock and Guy deserve their own show.

You must not be reading the current manga then... Naruto's matured a lot. Even Sakura has reached the point that she thought she could kill Sasuke, although she still cares for him. Kakashi is ready to kill Sasuke too. Naruto is the only one left who still wants to save Sasuke, but even he's decided he'll fight him to the death before he'll let Sasuke harm the Leaf Village.

I haven't been able to keep up with the manga, I have a limited net connection. However, it's one thing for Sakura to think she could kill Sasuke, if she does it then I will be happy because she has a backbone and not the most emotional female in manga history. The only good thing is they are finally ready to do something about him instead of "omfg sasuke, please come back to the village. we misses you, believe it". I don't think I'll be happy with the series again until someone kills Sasuke.

She actually did try to kill Sasuke but she couldn't do it, nor is she really capable even if she were absolutely determined. She thought she was that determined, enough to ambush nearly all of her peers (except for Naruto who wasn't present) and knock them out using her medical expertise, leaving them to hunt Sasuke herself. She just wasn't able to do it, before Sasuke nearly killed her first after he ordered her to kill Karin to prove herself. She had intended to ambush him, but Sasuke wasn't fooled. Kakashi just barely managed to save her, and then shortly thereafter when she tried again, Naruto managed to save her just in time. So, Sakura has tried twice to kill Sasuke.

I love Naruto, first anime apart from Digimon that i started liking, ive since moved onto other titles like Bleach (tho have only seen 2 1/2 seasons), FMA & FMAB, Death Note, Monster Rancher, Trigun ETC,ETC but i think Naruto will always be my favorite

I just started watching s6 of Shippuden, but ive been a naruto fan for ages

I only watch DUBS, and i dont read manga

I've seen the first episode of that... not bad its in my watchlist, my favorite besides naruto is Ranma 1/2 that show is hilarious

have you seen the naruto movies? i havent seen any of em, are they worth watching?

They're okay. I like the series better, but they're not too bad.

I love the anime of HSDK, but the manga is better if only because the story is much longer. I wish they'd continue the anime, especially since they have so much more material to work with now. Kenichi is WAY stronger than he was.

I like Naruto and people who complain about the Saske whining... It's worse before Shippuden and I think it's good that Naruto won't give up on him.

I only watch the anime in Japanese with subs. I want to read the manga, but it seems like too much effort at the moment.

I hate the English dub of Naruto >.<....

So catching up abit with Naruto again, i'm still only on season 6 of shippuden, reading whats going on in the manga atm wanted me to catch up abit more with the anime

i dont read manga tho, but just synopsis and stuff to see what i have to look forward to with the anime

I stick to reading the manga and only watch certain episodes where I know a fight that I enjoyed from the manga will be shown. The anime (especially shippuden) is bogged down with an excessive amount of filler and moves way too slowly for me to watch regularly anymore.

Yep I'm on Season 9 of Shippuden now and it's a season full of fillers however part 1 had it's fair share of fillers aswell, i believe towards the end it was just fillers and nothing else
