    New SG-1

With most of the members of SG-1 probably gone there is probably a new SG-1. Who could the new SG-1 members be composed of?

I could see Jennifer Hailey coming back, maybe that other chick from that episode. Too bad they killed what's his face, the dude who got lantash in him on his first mission but he stil died

Lorne would be a contender i think, he's been shown in alternate realities to be in SG1. Maybe one of the girl team from Whispers could join in too, probably Porter.

This is of course notwithstanding the "alien" who would join teh team. Not a clue who that would be as i dout Ryac is in teh mood

Well I imagine Mitchell would still be there, given that his only really been involved with the SGC side of the program for a few years. I would imagine that he may be being groomed as the successor to Landry, depending on when he plans to retire.

Teal'c is definitely gone back to the Jaffa to help them rebuild given there is no uber bad guy.

Jackson, obviously he is still involved in the program in some capacity. But I don't think it would be as an SG team member. Probably doing research and following up on leads independently (when off world probably has an SG team escort) like we saw in First Contact and The Lost Tribe

      Carter, on the Hammond obviously.

Vala, god i hope she's dead. But if not I would hope she's left the SGC. Cos let's face it, a person like her should NEVER have been in the program, let alone on the flagship team.... but that's another thread.

So I imagine the team would be made up of:
      Mitchell
An archaeologist (we know the SGC goes with this model a fair bit for recon/first contact teams as seen with Dixon's team)
      Scientist (Carter type)
And another marine, for combat support (Like Ford)
      Meh.

^For the Scientist I could imagine Jennifer Hailey as a member of SG-1 like Aragon101 stated.

Maybe, if she has gained enough experience in the years since we have seen her and matured a lot, than yeah I could see her on the team.

Also, for the extra marine/air force officer for combat support, they could always go with Reynolds. I know that would bring the whole 2 Colonels in the team issue up again (which really shouldn't have arose in the first place), however I would prefer Reynolds were left with his own command.
          Meh.

We could see the glorious return of Ferreti! he never died... right?

Hahaha this is true! Did we ever hear anything about him after season 1?
              Meh.

Teal'c - probably back with the Jaffa, drops in from time to time
Carter - on the General Hammond
Jackson - doing other things, probably still around the SGC
Vala - probably still around, she had no where else to go
Mitchell - only one that might still be on the team, although he only wanted to work with Teal'c, Carter and Jackson, if they're gone he might not stick around either

                New SG-1:
Leader: It'd be cool if the leader was Adam Baldwin's character from Heroes, he was awesome. Reynolds as 2nd choice.
Scientist: The Jennifer Hailey character is probably on there, assuming she has matured and can properly follow orders now.
Archaeologist: Only one I can think of is that younger guy they brought back from that planet in the New Ground episode.
And you'd need another marine for support.

I also put in my vote for Jennifer Hailey. She'd fill Carter's boots quite well (with a few extra layers of socks! LOL)
I'm sure Cam Mitchell would still be leading the group in his careless, arrogant style.
And I would think it's about time that 'Duplicate' O'Neill would be old enough to be in the program and on the elite team.

Not as a member of SG-1 necessarily, but I hope Colonel Reynolds would still be there heading up SG-3's marine contingent - or maybe even taken over command of the SGC following Landry's retirement.

I am pretty sure Cameron will still be in SG-1 even though the original team is gone. If he didn't it would look bad because he left just because the original team isn't there anymore.

Why? He could join Sam on the Hammond as an "away team" or something

I like the idea of Dave Dixon (Adam Baldwin's) character in charge He's got that team leader feeling to him

As Star Trek as it sounds, it makes sense that an SG team (recon and first contact, not marine based team) be permanently stationed on our 304's. Given that there are planets which have no gate, or used to have a gate, still to be explored in the galaxy/galaxies an "away team" is definitely needed. Although I don't think Mitchell would be relegated from the flagship team of the SGC to this role.
                        Meh.

Team Leader - Dixon or Feretti (if he's still around)
                          Second in Command - Lorne
                          Archaeologist or another military person
                          Archaeologist - Allison Porter
Military person - Hailey or Dusty Mehra
                          Alien - a Tok'ra

He could also take over the 302 wing on the Hammond. DarkStar Titans! (Best name for flight wing EVAR)

Much as i love Dusty, don't think she's suited for a flagship team. She did say she was in search of bad guys who needed killin' not exactly the kind of person you want for first contact with indigenous peoples.

As far as a Tok'ra.. Hmmm I liked Delek Maybe he learned some respect for what teh Tau'ri are capable of, but could be there to temper the militaristic side, sort of like Daniel to Jack.
