Hey guys i'm posting this early as i wont be here to celebrat with you tommororw. No spoilers in this one. I've made a John and Helen fan Mix. The artwork was done by Ares and the rest by me. Hope you enjoy! oh its its being posted in two parts cus its massively long. It has my interpretations of what each songs means to me in john and Helens relationship, the comments are MHO so don't go flaming me

1. Undisclosed Desires
Muse
“I want to reconcile the violence in your heart,
I want to recognise your beauty's not just a mask.
I want to exorcise the demons from your past,
I want to satisfy the undisclosed desires in your heart.”

I believe this song is the Theme for John and Helen, from both perspectives. The song talks about wanting to satisfy all the desires of the heart. The chorus here, from Helen and John’s perspective refers to Helen wanting to tame the violence from John, John wanting to recognise past Helen’s beauty, Helen Wanting to exorcise the Jack the ripper from John and both of them wanting to satisfy their desires deep in their hearts.

2. Decode
Paramore

And it’s hanging on your tongue,
Just boiling in my blood.
You think that I can’t see,
What kind of man you are, if you’re a man at all.”
This song I believe is best to describe when John became Jack and Helen found out. I think the lyrics are self explanatory. Another angsty song for our favourite couple

3. Thrown Down

“You Say you’re sorry,

But it’s so overwhelming,
You have nothing left to say.”

This song, I believe relates to when John and Helen had split up. The lyrics are powerful in describing such an event. My interpretation from John and Helen’s point of view is that John is apologising and he should leave, but the whole situation and emotions that he is feeling are overwhelming that he can’t say anything else.

4. Destiny Rules
Fleetwood Mac

It appears to me that Destiny rules.
That the spirits are ruthless,
With the paths they choose,
Its not being together is just following the rules

From John and Helen’s perspective this song is a great theme. The lyrics suggest that because of their longevity they will always see each other and that not being together is just following their hearts, even though they still have that emotion of love.

5. Everybody Finds Out

Usually stay with the night.”

This song is a fun little ditty. I believe that this song relates to Helen/ John back in the ye olden days secretly being together all the way up to when Jack emerges. I think the lyrics suggest that their love started out as a secret, it came to light, Jack emerged and their relationship took a dark turn.

6. Shut Us Down
Lindsey Buckingham

This is one of my favourite songs, From Helen and John’s perspective the song is about their relationship from the start and its decline. Another angsty song, especially the ling “ I know that I treat you unkind and long ago I lost my mind.”, I think relates to them perfectly.

Theory of A Deadman

It seems to be the story of our lives.”

I think this song refers to somewhere in season 2 when john returns. This song in relation to Helen and John I think refers to John trying every possible way to show Helen that he’s a good man and that he still loves her, but she’s not having any of it.

As angsty song’s go this has to be my favourite. I think this song refers best to the end of Eulogy. Helen and John talking just before the Funeral scene. John leaving when Helen needs him the most, but of course she won’t admit it. But because she lost Ashley and John around about the same time in the episode she’s broken and John really was the last physical connection she had to Ashley.

I thought this song might be a fun one. Just relation back to when Helen and John started dating all the way to the present. In Helen’s perspective John was the one person she fell in love with but shouldn’t have.

Kind of a Au song for Helen and John but still relates in some perspectives. From when John became Jack and messing up their relationship, John leaves and Helen does what every other woman would do, she moved on relating to the last 3 lines of the lyrics.

11. Running Up That Hill

I think this song is best fitted to the time line when Helen tried to kill john at the start of the webisodes and the end of Sanctuary for all pt 2. My interpretation of these lyrics are from John’s perspective, sort of Taunting Helen into trying to kill him, messing with her emotions that kind of thing. Awesome angsty song.

This song is defiantly from John’s point of View, properly around the time that Tesla shocked him “back into his senses.” He’s been reborn and want's to live for Helen.
