Years ago, twenty-somethings Jenni, Andy, and brothers Ryan and Nathan, disappeared from around the world without warning and with no trace. Now, suddenly and mysteriously, their families have been alerted to their existence in a secret, isolated cult, hidden deep in the New Zealand bush. But reclaiming the people they've lost isn't going to be easy. Everyone in Two Gardens has renounced their families, friends and all contact with the outside world, which they see as corrupt and impure. To them, Two Gardens is their home, a paradise, and their charismatic leader Edward North is the loving "father" of their family.

A brother, sister and their friends discover, and disturb, something very ancient and dark at the bottom of a disused well. Their task is to get it back before someone dies, or worse. Of course, not all is as it seems. There are greater evils in the well, and the four teenagers are not the first ones to have tried to deal with it.
Episode 1: Whilst helping with a house renovation to make money for a summer trip a group of friends, Beth, Luis, Ivan and Coll discover a hidden cellar, which contains an ancient well. When Ivan climbs down the well to retrieve some stones which had fallen in to the murky water, he finds himself picking up more than just stones...
Episode 2: Ivan returns home to a nasty surprise, but is it real or just a bad dream? Coll discovers the ancient origins of the stones recovered from the well and Beth is drawn back to the house only to find it much different than she remembered...
Episode 3: With Ivan's life hanging in the balance, the gang must act fast if they are to save their friend. But how can they break the spell? They return to the house in search of more clues, but realise they must reluctantly re-enter the well! Beneath the surface, things take an unexpected and sinister turn for Beth...
