Alright, what were your favorite lines and jokes from tonight's episode? I found the revelation about why Greer was in the brig (knocking Telford's lights out) was priceless.

The math boy' was my personal fave.

Followed by young's "Keep speaking, i will take your name out of the lottery".

I liked the "please don't" response to the taking of the name out of the lottery.

Wasn't really a line but it was. Young's single tear while holding his wedding ring. He said a lot without saying anything.

I kind of liked the "Our Father" scene. It showed people facing death with some dignity. (and no it's not an atheist in a foxhole comment so we can't take out that reply right now)

Oh and Mathboy, almost forgot.

Greer and Young definitely earned respect points from me with their scene together. I especially like how Greer saluted Young when the Colonel said, "Goodbye, Ronald."

Another favorite scene that stuck out to me for some reason was when Spencer (the Marine that got knocked out) finally woke up, he headed towards one of the rooms and found Volker playing cards with a few people and chatting it up. "Well, all the fun people are here." :D

Playing cards are standard in most survival packs. Boredom and nothing to occupy the mind are some of the most dangerous things in any survival situation. Any way to keep people occupied and engaged with each other is a good, good thing.

Greer's monologue, "Math Boy. Send it!", "I'm gonna need some spaceship paint", "Well all the FUN people are here", Eli's "I don't [regret it]", Rush's "I'm going to go read a meneally good book."

So much gold in this episode, and even more gold that was shown, but not spoken.

My favorite "the planet's getting really big in the window" - direct reference to apollo 13, just as they were going to do a slingshot because they didn't have the acceleration to catch destiny.

My favorite line is a bit strange since its not funny or anything. But its when Rush thanks Eli to enable him able to see an outside view of the Destiny.

Its fun to realize the characters don't have the same perspective on things as us TV viewers (we saw the Destiny many times from the outside). And it fits Rush's obsession with the Destiny anyway.

That line was pretty clever I think.

My fave from greer had to be - Thud "Now i don't want to have to do that to anyone else".

Don't forget the rest of the line. "But I will."

I have to throw a vote for this line too...

It wasn't that the line was particular witty, or ominous.

But the way he delivered it. Almost as if he would regret having to do it.

BTW.. The sargeant that got decked. He took some pills later. Couldn't see the perscription label.. Anyone here see this as a possible problem later on?

I didn't know that. You learn something new everyday. The survival packs I've seen never featured a deck of cards.

Agreed! I loved the way he said it too; it was like "did that just come out of my mouth?" :D

Definitely fewer funny lines in this episode than the last one, but that's to be expected. I liked Young's bluntness in the beginning though.

"You've all heard about our situation. It sucks."

As for the subtler moments, focus on Rush's mouth before he says "hopefully it'll be quick" - it was twitching. Damn, Robert Carlyle is GOOD.

Non quoted favorites, was how you can actually tell that Rush wasn't a nervous wreck, the moment he had a view of the Destiny from the outside, you can tell that he had a moment of peace, for once.

Prolly 'cuz up until then, people had been assuming that Greer fit the Angry Black Man trope, the 'loose cannon' of SGU that would only think of himself. I was in that camp, but have reversed course so hard that I left a Cory-shaped hole in the wall :D Greer is my #2 favourite character right now.

Human Resources. In large companies, that's the department tasked with hiring and firing, development of new company policies regarding their workforce, scheduling vacations and whatnot.

I loved that part as well. The dialogue in this ep in general was right up there. The way particularly Young, Greer and Rush came off as somber in the face of their imminent death seemed really authentic to me. I liked that convo between Young and Greer where he just ends it with "So long..."

Also one of the parts I liked was that scene where Eli gets up from his bunk (preceded by the flashback of his mom waking him up). His line "Dammit" summed up a host of thoughts and emotions I could relate with.

She is ioa. Back in air pt 2, just after they got there, when rush anounced he had talked to Gen oneill and was placed in charge, she mentioned that since she is the IOAs rep there, SHe should be the one in charge.
