SciFi Channel Wants You!

We're looking for a few good fans to join the Battlestar team on January 8, 2005. Your mission: Suit up in official BSG gear, canvass a high-traffic mall near your home, and help spread the Galactica word among the civilians before the series' premiere on January 14, 2005.

Just fill out the entry form below and select the mall location that is closest to you for your chance to be chosen as the newest member of our fleet. Make sure to include a few sentences about why you're the perfect fan for the job. Good luck, and happy hunting!

So...you enter a contest to be chosen to spread the word about a new TV Show at one of these malls. SciFi Channel provides you with a Battlestar Galactica "costume" (which apparently you have to give back), so that you can hand out flyers for four hours. You don't get paid. You don't get prizes.

Sounds like the "contest" is a PRIZE more for the SciFi Channel than it is for the contestee.

I second that this is the stupidest contest ever.

Ok, I've seen some pretty lame contests out there, but this one has to be at the top of the list. There's not even a prize for cryin' out loud!

Really, I don't think this is a real good way to attract fans. I should go to the mall in White Plains new york just to see the person who got sucked into wearing the BSG get-up!

(Mind you, I have absolutely nothing against BSG. Rather, it's the contest that I have issues with.)
