One Step Beyond, I'm confused.

I've just been on the GW homepage and there's an ad for a show called "One Step Beyond".

Can anybody enlighten me as to what the show was all about?
The only reference I can think of is the "Madness" single of the same name which, I assume, took it's title from the show.
Was it a US only show?
How old is it?

only reference I could fine was that there 3 seasons of a show called that in the 199 to 1961.
