i cant see it being used anytime soon. it needs refinement in the design of it. When i say design i mean look and maybe size.

It's too big and awkward for an anti-infantry weapon, the rate of fire could also be a problem in that respect. Would need to see the fully functional model used to know for sure though.

One possibility though is that if it is powerful enough for anti-aircraft use, it would be a big improvement on the shoulder mounted launchers currently used.

Im not sure about that one really. It wold need to still have a higher rate of fire. as it is now its ROF could be affective as an anti vehicle weapon or mounted on a Striker or Bradly fighting vehicle. but the ROF problem can be over come obviously

its a useless weapon right now. give it the size/power ratio of either Ronon's gun or a staffweapon and it can become an effective handheld bazooka.

It would certainly make any enemy think twice about attacking if he was to get one look at it. But it looks too big and cumbersome for say fighting inside a building with tight corridors.

i just want to point out that i think that weapon is supposed to look big and bulky and not very powerful because its designed to make it look to the rest of the world that their is a development process. im pretty sure that if they wanted to they could make it much smaller, more powerful, and shaped more like a standard gun.
