Favorite SG-1 Season Premiere

Well... we have favorite Season Finales and Mid-Season two parter threads, so it only made sense to eventually make a favorite premiere one.

Into the Fire, as I remember it as the first episode of SG1 I ever saw.

Children of the Gods kicked of the entire series. This was the make or break ep and clearly it passed with flying colours.

As for the poll, it was a tossup between "The Serpent's Lair" and "Enemies". After I voted, I saw that "Enemies" has no votes... Please, someone give it some love. It's the definitive action episode!

In order my top three would be Avalon, New Order and Fallen.

Fallen cos Daniel came back. Serpent's Lair because it was utterly fab, Bratac was in it and Sam bit Jack.

Redemption. Great story, plot lines for all four characters that well interwoven. It has humour, drama, action, McKay & Bra'tac guest starring. Everything really.

I was thinking that was the first time we met him. I forgot he was introduced before that.

Redemption. Great story, plot lines for all four characters that well interwoven. It has humour, drama, action, McKay & Bra'tac guest starring. Everything really.

Also, it was an episode which made me a Jonas fan.

Second place goes to "In the serpent's lair", which is just awesome. I don't think there's even one thing I don't like about it.

Third would be probably "Small Victories", although "New Order" and "CotG" are pretty close. "Enemies" was cool as well.

oh hellz yeah. I love the way he pretty much comes up with all the answers in a sort of quiet, understated way.

Kinda surprised at all the "Into the Fire" love. Good premiere but not one of the best when it comes to amazing 'team' episodes/season openers. Daniel was barely in that one.

I can understand why the J/S shippers love it though.

Hmm. This is such a tough choice. For me, its a toss up between... agh... Serpent's Lair, Small Victories, Redemption and New Order.

I think I'll go with Serpent's Lair because 1) It was a great 'team' episode, 2) Bra'tac and 3) Earth almost being destroyed and SG-1 finally scoring a major victory. Also, the "space monkey" line always brings a smile to my face.

I went with Children of the Gods, mostly because I have such visceral memories of watching it with my dad when I was 13 years old. I can still picture the way our living room was set up. That episode created an every week father/daughter bonding night.

Close second would be Small Victories and Redemption.
