How Long Before They Evacuate??

im wondering everyones thoughts on when the icarus base will evacuate to the destiny?
will it be right away?
half way through part 1?
end of part 1?
start out on destiny and see the attack through flashbacks?????

Hope it's the middle-end of part 1. I hate "flash back" type of things.

I want it towards the end so we have something to be exited over for part 2 .

I'd guess towards the end of part 1, to give it something of a cliffhanger feel... They find themselves there and are dazed and confused and think they're on another planet, then the final shot is a pan out into space showing the ship.

About a quarter through part 1 imo. Flashbacks aren't exactly ......umm how do I put it Stargatish?

Flashbacks have been used in Stargate as far back as SG-1's Fire and Water and Atlantis 38 Minutes and The Return part 2.

It depends how flashbacks are used, I dont think the show should open like the teaser with people being thrown out of an active Stargate, it should build up the back story and like most people have said arrive at the Destiny sometime in the second half of the episode, likely the last act.

I'm guessing it'd be approx. the same, that is, they get to the destiny just before the end of the "first ep".. or they face a problem on the destiny, and solve it just after the "2nd ep"

Maybe the attack that has everyone evacuate the Icarus base will be the storyline of the first SGA movie. Perhaps another super wraith ship?

The SciFi site says it will premiere in a "2 hour movie event" so I guess it depends whether they count 2 x 42 minute episodes as two hours, or 3 x 42 minute episodes as two hours plus change.
