They went through five whole seasons with Paul McGilleon wearing the wrong flag *, so an instance in one episode isn't really a big deal.
* Yeah, Carson Beckett is Scottish, but Scotland isn't an independant nation. His flag is about as appropriate as Joe Flanigan having a Confederate one on his arm as opposed to stars and stripes.
Alternatively, I guess you could argue that Peter Grodin should have been wearing a St. George's cross on his uniform, being "English" and all...Comment
