As promised, here is the Atlantis edition of the Battle of the 'Ships game. This will be run just the same as the regular game, except that it will be limited in what 'ships qualify.
QUALIFYING 'SHIPS:
To qualify for this game, at least one member of the 'ship must be an Atlantis character. This means that crossover 'ships are allowed. HOWEVER, crossover 'ships between Sam Carter and SG-1 characters are not allowed. Since Sam is both an SG-1 main character and an Atlantis main character, 'ships pairing her with SG-1 characters would be SG-1 only 'ships, and not allowed in this game. This applies even if the SG-1 character has guest starred on Atlantis.
To clarify this with some examples, Rodney/Sam is allowed. Daniel/Elizabeth is allowed. Daniel/Sam is not allowed.
QUALIFYING ROUND
Here's how it will work. Just as you did with the other game, you will pick all thirty-two ships. This is a qualifying round only. There is no time limit - it will end when all 32 places are filled.
1. You may vote for up to five ships per vote, and you may vote once a day.
2. You can add one point per ship to a ship already in the list, or you can add a ship not on the list.
3. Each ship must reach 30 points in order to qualify for the game. However, it doesn't matter whether your ship places 1st or 3rd or 16th or 32nd. Rankings will be wiped out once the game officially starts. You just have to make sure your ship gets one of those 32 spots in order to get into the game.
4. PLEASE be careful when you vote to check after posting your votes that no new votes were posted before yours. If so, please correct your vote. We don't want anyone's votes to be lost. Thanks!
5. Once the qualifying round ends and the game officially starts, I'll post the rules for that game, which those of you currently playing the regular Battle of the 'Ships game will be familiar with -it will be run exactly the same way.
