Looking for a specific category of fic

Hi there

Okay this may sound weird, but please hear me out.

Besides the 'normal' (hehe) fanfiction out there I love to read real angstful ones too e.g. where one of the characters gets serious hurt (with this I mean SERIOUS) etc. Either physical or emotionally.

Now it seems that these days the only ones that you get are either one of the following:
1. Slash
2. Team
3. Smut
4. Shipper
5. Slash once again

Now I have nothing against any of the above-mentioned but what happened to the really intense angst fanfiction?

Therefore if there's anyone out there that have written such a type of fanfiction please give me some recommendations. I promise to read them all. Note that I do not mind if one of the above-mentioned options are in it as long as it doesn't become the center of the whole storyline.
