Jackson's Wolverine kicks off season for film and TV shooting

Wolverine is back, kicking off what promises to be a busy film and television production year in B.C.

The DGC's Hawkins got word in L.A. that the new series Caprica, a sci-fi prequel to the recently ended Battlestar Galactica, was green-lit to start filming in late February or early March. Also starting up around then is the Stargate spinoff series Stargate: Universe, with British actor Robert Carlyle. Sci-fi, as always, has been good to Vancouver.
The B.C.-produced gothic adventure Sanctuary, starring erstwhile Stargate gunslinger Amanda Tapping, has been renewed for a second season to start filming this spring. As well, the small-town genius story Eureka has been renewed for a May start on its next season, and the quirky crime drama Psych is expected to return for shooting a fourth season next April.
