    That Sweet Music

I figured out why they gave Sheppard such a crappy car for this episode. All of the licensed music they had! Manson, Rage Against the Machine, and all the others that escape me right now. But of course the Johnny Cash song for Shep at the end was quite appropriate, and since it was Johnny I don't mind.

And the teaser for Enemy at the Gate has me salivating, which is no small feat for this season.

You didn't recognize "Sympathy for the Devil" by the Rolling Stones?

The begining was like an episode of csi which was great because it was so different I rather liked this episode and the ending was really good.

I did, but it was towards the beginning and that was one of the songs I didn't recall as I was writing the original post. Nobody is perfect okay?

The use of the music was awesome, but I think the best moments were the Stones and Cash songs. Really fit the mood.

This episode had all kinds of great music in it, but I want that western-y theme that played when Sheppard was driving towards the trailer near the end! Was that just something created specifically for the episode, or does that exist on a CD or as a download somewhere that I could get it?

It was a Johnny Cash song. (That was a Johnny Cash poster he rolled up from his office.)

Johnny Cash's cover of Neil Diamond's "Solitary Man."

I know have it on a loop on Youtube right now. Great, great song that fit the character so well, especially since he's a Cash fanatic.

I enjoyed the music throughout, but I got a real kick out of the "Sympathy for the Devil" scene.

Nah, not that one, although that was pretty awesome. I mean the actual twangy western movie sounding stuff that they played throughout the episode (I didn't realize they did until they started replaying it).

i would like to know the music during the chase in the casino and the song after the wraith makes the jump and walks off after that.

I tripped when I heard Beautiful People from Marilyn Manson on Vegas. That is one group I never imagined to have a song on a SG show. Personally, I would have gone with Rob Zombie Super Beast or Meet The Creeper. But I don't think they could have chosen a better Marilyn Manson song.

I will now associate that Johnny Cash song with Sheppard whenever I hear it! A great fit for Sheppard!

Oh yeah, definitely led into one of the best death scenes I've ever seen on TV. Really great scene.

Yeah the Johnny Cash song was perfect for the ending sequence. However and I mentioned this in a different thread. I loved Beautiful People by Marilyn Manson for the Wraith Scene. So fitting on multiple levels.

                              Here is the clip.
