- They could've saved Davos, by using the ascending machine on him, thus giving him 50% of possibility to ascend and live, instead of 100% of possibility to die...
- The virus. It doesn't have sense to just shut down the attack program in the replicator's code. They can simply rewrite the code so that the replicators can't attack the human beings, thus forcing them to return to the "attack the wraith" plan. This would be solving most of the problems of the universe.
- Instead of hiding the city, wasn't it simpler to just submerge it, thus keeping the shield?
And, BTW, I don't understand why they don't submerge the city... The shield capacity needed to keep the shield underwater is not so high( it lasted for more than 3600 years the last time... ), and they would be relatively protected.
