do you think it would work? a beaming array just like the one we saw in "thors chariot". it could be used to beam in darts and then just delete the stored data. or maybe it could be set to constantly sweep around the ship to beam in enemy weapons fire too.

Whats the point of beaming out a chunk of the hull when you can just shoot it with the Asgard wankrays?Robert Jastrow (self-proclaimed agnostic): "For the scientist who has lived by his faith in the power of reason, the story ends like a bad dream. He has scaled the mountains of ignorance; he is about to conquer the highest peak; as he pulls himself over the final rock, he is greeted by a band of theologians who have been sitting there for centuries."

The Asgard tech is so far beyond us we won't be improving it for a long a time. The only possible weapon I could see us developing which would be better is some sort of relativistic weapon. Basically us firing chunks of metal at close to light speed.
If the Wraith can jam standard beaming why couldn't the version seen in Thors chariot also be jammed?Robert Jastrow (self-proclaimed agnostic): "For the scientist who has lived by his faith in the power of reason, the story ends like a bad dream. We can't progress much further especially seeing as the tech we're using is thousands of years a head of us anyway. The Ori were not resistant against the beams...I can't see anyone bar possibly the MW replicators being resistant to the beams. TBH if there's a race that powerful out there we're screwed either way. This thread is about weaponized beaming tech, not general progression of weapons.

The Beaming as seen in Thor's chariot has always been a plot hole for me, we dont know what exactly happened with the ships and jaffa that where beamed away and its never been used since...surely its a good weapon to use
