Why is it that at age 7-8, Molly cannot pronounce 'exo-biologist' and yet Naomi Wildman was only like 4 years old when she started learning Calculus and such.

The in universe explanation was that Naomi was half Ktarian, and as such matured much faster than a human. You had to know there was something different about her; she was certainly the biggest four year old I've ever seen...
