    ZPM battery or something else

Ok the ZPM mainly as Battery or is it rechargeable powersource ?It sucks energy out of subspace into this Crystal .But it can be drained .So doesn't that make more like a Battery or a Capacitor of some type . Not sure right now

Its not a battery. It generaters zero point energy from a self contained region of subspace time. Its not an actual battery per say. However eventually entropy means that no more energy can be generated from said region of subspace time and the ZPM is depleted. You can't recharge it because to do that you would have to get another region of subspace time and put it in the ZPM or link it to the ZPM or whatever the Ancients did. At that point you might as well make a new one. Thats what I think anyway.

He has scaled the mountains of ignorance; he is about to conquer the highest peak; as he pulls himself over the final rock, he is greeted by a band of theologians who have been sitting there for centuries."

maximum enthtopy means minimum enthalpy. with other words: to reduce the enthropy you need more enthalpy, and to make more enthalpy, you need energy. thus, a ZPM could be recharged.

enthalpy and enthropy are what gives us the need to eat.

No you can not recharge it as stated on several occasions.

Entropy: the amount of disorder in a system.
Enthalpy: thermodynamic potential (is has to do with chemical reactions and different forms of energy and the change in oneanother and to describe systems.)

Once maximum entropy is achieved you cannot reverse it in a ZPM. You would have to make order from absolute chaos.

So the Ancients could invent a way to create another microuniverse. How'd they do it in the first place? With the proper technology, they could. Besides, what did they do with the ones that ran out over their million+ year stay? Throw them out? I'm sure they reused the empty "shell". It can't be recharged in that you can simply put more energy into it, or reverse the process.

We are talking about the Artificial Micro Universe. That cannot be reversed to it's normal state once you draw all Zero Point Energy from it. The crystal container (ZPM) can probably be recycled. However you would need to recreate the container from the individual atoms and create a new subspace universe to make a new ZPM.

I did a bit of research last year, purely for my own entertainment, and ended up posting it on here- the thread is at:-
