SG Universe on same theme as an older show

    SG Universe

seems on same theme as an older show that a group of people awoke on a ship called 'Ark'. This TV show was around the 1970's. It had gone of course and was heading towards a star. There were many different modules. As these people in this goup went from module to module, they would find many thing and/or meet other people. it was as if everyone had amnesia. I am looking up info on this old TV show. The info about this 'Ark' TV series (I can't remember the eact name of the show) is on the internet, I saw it a few years back. I used to watch the show, but it only lasted one season, but I really really liked it.

I will follow-up with info when I find it.
Ok, This maybe it, I found sever links:

It may have been named 'StarLost'. the website and write-up make it look flaky, but it was pretty good for back then..

Adam's Ark? I know Glen A. Larson tried to do something like that before he did the original BSG...

Starlost? It was horrible! Even the author hated what they did with it and had his name changed to Cordwainer Bird in the credits. Yes, they ticked off Harlan Ellison.

I do not remember specifics but do remember it was a good show that ended before it time, like the majority of scifi shows.

The stuff you pointed did make the show sound pretty lame.

How ever I do not think sgu will follow that concept. Through I would love similar concept to be made today using all of today technology.

Well, it isn't as if SGU has made any claims at having an original concept. Starlost rings a vague bell somewhere. So does Mission Genesis. And Star Trek Voyager. And Lost in Space. Lexx. Look hard enough and you can draw parallels to all kinds of stuff. Space Camp? LOL!
