The Genii also framing the Travellers

Now the Genii did provide a lot of biased information to the council to be the dominant member of the coalition. Their plan is more of a hedgemony than an alliance.

Now besides the Atlantis expedition there are also the Travellers.

If they were to join this coalition they would be the most major member of the coalition being the most advance human Pegasus galaxy natives.

The misinformation on the Genii's part was to implicate the Travellers for what the Replicators did.

    Being the "Allies" of Atlantis.

The Genii didn't though. The coalition had no concept of the replicators and if the Genii did, they certainly didn't share that information. All the coalition knew was that a number of planets were destroyed from orbit and that they were rumored to be allies of Atlantis (where that rumor came from we have no idea). They knew it wasn't the Wraith, but they had no idea who it actually was and so asked Woolsey if he knew anything about it. He then introduced them to what the replicators were and told them what happened.

Well who is the other space faring race who are allies of Atlantis and obviously not part of this coalition?

The Genii does not want any competition for leadership especially from more advanced races.

Well tough luck since they going out of the woodwork if Weir is to be believed and the Pegasus Asgard being indicative of that.

They're not really allies. They've worked together twice now out of necessity, but Atlantis cannot even get in contact with them. And there's no reason for people to confuse them as such since there's no way they would know unless the Travelers, Atlantis, or the Wraith went around telling everyone about what happened. Which didn't seem to be the case since they were oblivious to anything involving the replicators, (besides what they did to Human worlds) including the battle where they were destroyed. Plus, the Travelers don't appear to be well known in the galaxy. Aside from a few mentions on their parts to trading partners, Atlantis has yet to encounter someone who has stated that they are remotely aware of them.

In any case, if that was indeed an attempt to frame the Travelers then they would've just said the Travelers were responsible. Instead it was all very vague and seemed like a poor attempt to try to connect Atlantis to all the galaxy's problems.

I've got to admit though, I'm surprised there was no mention made of the Travellers....afterall, I'd have thought they'd be the next military power out there beside Atlantis, before the Genii were.

I doubt they're very well known.

These worlds are a bunch of technological primitives.

But given the Intelligence of the Genii I think they could be aware of them.

Discrediting them would be in the Genii's interest. Of course the Genii are idiots thinking they can win without ships.

SG-1 defeated the Goa'uld and replicators without ships.

SG-1 had allies like the Asgard and had the luck of having O'neill having his head suck and uploaded by a Ancient repository twice!

Genii have nukes they can barely build themselves without a delivery system or any sort of airial mechanised support.

yes, the Genii should not be underestimated. I think that of all the people encountered in the Stargate universe, they have the strongest resemmblance to the people of Earth.

The Travellers are far more advanced than the Genii.

It's hard to say if it would or not. They may be more receptive to trying to work with the Travelers than they have been with Atlantis as it doesn't really cut into their power base too greatly since the Travelers aren't the type to utilize lots of ground troops. Basically, they compliment each other, serving a purpose that the other can't provide where as Atlantis is more well rounded. Although, on the hand, the Genii are largely irrational about a lot of things, so who knows.

But, if they were aware of them, the Travelers have yet to move away from their lifestyle and seek out active participation. They haven't even shown any interest in one day doing so to anyone but Sheppard as far as we know. So all this would be extremely premature. And again, the issue isn't really about the Genii knowing of their existence, it's of them knowing about their involvement with Atlantis. Only three factions know about their limited contact with each thus far and none have any reason to go around telling others about it.

I also think its hard to accurately measure the strength of the travellers, as they are nomadic by nature.

The Travellers are not in the alliance for one reason: Their main, new colony was blown to high hell by an exploding gate (First Contact). After suffering such a loss, they will most likely be busy for quite some time finding a new home and building a new home.
