    my Tau'ri ships

What's up yall, I'm new to these forums, and I thought I would post my paint art ships. Up first is the X-305. It's designed to carry 2 jumpers through hyperspace. The airlocks have 2 doors, one facing the jumper docking seal and the other facing the outside. For armaments it has 4 Goa'uld energy weapons (from an Al'Kesh), 2 forward facing 40mm railguns, 1 rear facing 23mm railgun, 2 missile pods, and the jumpers can fire drones rearward.
    Spoiler:

next is the X-306 heavy battle carrier. She's got 104 vertical launch tubes, 5 hanger bays, 4 main railguns, 2 turret mounted railguns for planetary bombardment, 6 Goa'uld H'tak class energy weapons, a compliment of Lantean drones and 163 point defense railguns. The side hangers are 2 story and hold 16 F-302b Lynx's each, and the 2 forward hangers hold 10 F-302b's, 4 X/F-307's, 2 X/F-309's and a puddle jumper each. The middle hanger holds a mixed squadron of 4 307's and 4 309's plus space for more puddle jumpers or other small ships like darts or fighters from another ship. So that's 75 fighter in total if you include jumpers. It also serves as a cargo hold and can fit an X-305 if need be. Another function of the middle bay is as a make-shift gate room. The bridge/control room is a large 2-story room surrounded by full-length windows. the forward part of it is set up like the standard 304 style bridge, but it extends further back and has more displays, a conference table display, and an open area for things to be beamed to the bridge. The second story is more of an observation deck/ready room, but it does look out over the bridge, which is on the bottom floor of the control room. The ship is normally powered by a ZPM but it was designed with 3 separate reactors, one naquadah reactor in each battle hull and a neutrino-ion rector in the bridge section. There are 16 Tau'ri ion sublight engines and 2 asgard hyperdrives. Only one is needed to move the ship and the other one as a back-up system. The same goes for the sublight engines, only the 4 big ones are needed for normal proving speeds, but the other ones are for more speed or are there just in case. The hull is a carbon/trinium alloy and is a naquadah/trinium/titanium alloy in the thicker armored spots. It's missing a few details but she's almost done.
    Spoiler:

up next is the X/F-307 fighter/interceptor. It has all the same engines and armaments of the 302 in a smaller and sleeker package. It has hard points for missiles, a 23mm nose mounted rail gun, and 2 Goa'uld energy weapons salvaged from death gliders. I always wondered why the SGC didn't incorporate salvaged Goa'uld weapons so I do in all my designs.
    Spoiler:

next is the X-308 "General Lee" heavy missile cruiser. It carries 116 missiles (nuclear or conventional), has 2 double 1220mm rail gun turrets, and 50 point defense rail guns. It also carries a squadron of X/F-307's. It's also go the Asgard beam weapon and hyperdrives, as well as sensors and transporter tech, like most other ships. It's got 15 sublight engines, making it one of the fastest ships around. It is a bare-bones easy and cheap to produce ship about the size of the X-303 designed for one thing: combat. There is almost no cargo space, not even enough room for a jumper, but it does have a couple of jumper docking seals like the 305. In Navy terms this as an attack sub and the 306 is an aircraft carrier.
    Spoiler:

Another fighter, the X/F-309 Hurricane heavy fighter. It's got a rail gun in the nose cone, 2 staff weapons, hardpoints on the wings and canards, a missile/bomb bay, 1 ion sublight engine, 2 aerospike engines, naquadah generator, and hyperdrive.
    Spoiler:

last but not least is the F-302b, an improved version of the 302 we know and love. It's pretty much a beefed up 302 that's been streamlined for atmospheric flight. I added a rail gun and a death glider staff to each wingtip plus a rail gun over the cockpit. The fuselage has also been extended to make room for internal missile storage. I had thought about maybe using this space for asgard beaming technology and a better powerplant. That way it could be used to make enemy fighters "vanish" like the asgard ships do or it could be used as a weapon delivery system. It could even be used as an instant ejection system.
    Spoiler:

btw, the 302b is a modified version of one I found somewhere, so I'm not claiming it to be my own, but the rest are except for a few fighter parts I borrowed with permission form b4000 on scifimeshes.

This should really be a part of the Starship Design Thread

could be in the space ship designs. by the way i am a fanfic writer and i was wondering could i use your 306 idea? (have to ask or could get done for coyright) so can i? it is really cool and looks ace. although as for your use of goua'uld weapons we don't need them (except maybe for thr fighters) as we have asgard weapons. but ace ideas anyway.

can you design the ships on a simple program like microsoft paint or do you need to download advanced softwae by the way

Normal 302's already have railguns, so nothing new about that. Your 305 looks like the daedalus with prometheus brigde. Your 306 looks like two prometheus ships linked to one another. The 308 looks like the Daedalus with it's front section a little longer.

And is the F-302b Lynx the normal one???

They all look really good. But your 307 and 309 look a bit too conventional. You could probably design those as actually real life fighter planes. Since they were designed to fly in space primarily then there isn't much need for the sllek aerodynamic shape. However other than that they are great designs.
Please do me a huge favour and help me be with the love of my life.

hey man, I don't care what thread they are on. They look cool, and uv put a lot of effort into that. Do me a favour tho. Av come up with some ideas for a battleship. Here's the specs, draw this.

                    length - 520m
                    width - 195m
                    height - 115m

Armament - 70 railguns (in verying arcs of fire. As many overlapping as possible)
20 vsl missile tubes and 6 asgard beams. it also has space for a shore detachment of 200 (not permenantly stationed aboard) and 16 F-302s. Single hull, double engine boom configuration as normal, but I want something that makes the 304 look like an escort.

                    Now, I called it a 305, but u can re-designate it if u want.

Also, I do specs for my own ships for my own, unrelated fiction that I'm writing. If u want to compare, or share ideas etc, add me on ur forum page.

Maybe the point he was trying to get across was when designing new ships, Earth would keep a similar look to them, with different specs/shapes/sizes.
So what if the 306 is 2 together. There may be a good reason for it. The P-38 lightning was just 2 engines strapped together and given wings, and it performed well.

308 may be exactly that - an upgrade of the Daeddy class.

I agree they wil have the Earthy looks, but I doubt some combinations of Prometheus and Daedalus will be made. I believe some new shape will be found. But I don't say they are not nice. And the idea of refitting Goa'uld weapons is a nice idea. I would love to see one of our fighter equipped with Goa'uld Al'kesh' energy bombs. Would give them nice ground strike possibilities.

That's true. Those energy bombs are fun. Although, there are types of fighter-borne weapons at the moment that could cause more ground damage, certainly.

the x-306 is a design i drempt up, think it would make a great capitol ship, though i had it designed with 2 stacked fighter pods on each side.
