They were released on Wednesday. I'm surprised no one has posted them on the forum yet.

Got five simple sentences for you:

      Absolutely horrible bridge design
Absolutely horrible how characters looks, make up, and the what I am guesting is Romulan is nothing short of terrible.
      Absolutely great posting them.
      Absolutely hoping they are fake
Absolutely gonna fail at the cinemas if they are real.

The bridge design might be the only part I like, although Siler as Spock is pretty good based solely on the pic.

I never, ever would have imagined Bana would have made even a decent Romulan, but his make-up turned out even better then I expected.

I'm not sure the film will fail, because a lot of people will probably go just out of curiosity.

But still, I cannot stand that first pic, particularly Chekov and Bones. *shivers* They just don't look like they'll do at all. But I'm most concerned about Kirk, Chris Pine has HUGE boots to fill, and I don't have the greatest amount of confidence in the guy.

I can't say I'm looking forward to this film, but I don't like to knock anything until I've at least read the reviews.

                    Pics look alright.
Science Fiction is an existential metaphor; it allows us to tell stories about the human condition.

Isaac Asimov once said individual science fiction stories may seem as trivial as ever to the blinder critics and philosophers of today, but the core of science fiction, its essence has become crucial to our salvation if we are to be saved at all.

Check him out in Smokin' Aces. He's bloody brilliant as one of the Tremor Brothers.

Agreed! They are not great, but they aren't horrible either. I certainly won't judge the movie off of them, that is for sure. As a Star Trek fan, I will go see this movie. To see if justice has been done to this great franchise.

Ouch. It's got the look of a B-list scifi film, and the cast look like the sort of early 30ish types that get cast in bad teen movies

Awesome, so it looks like Star Trek then.

I'm one of the people who's very, very wary about this entire project. I think JJ Abrams is an overrated, talentless hack; I find the very idea of recasting the Shat (et all) to be heresy of the highest order; I believe voyager killed Star Trek, Enterprise made sure it was dead, Nemesis did unpleasant things with its remains, and that "re-imagining" Trek is going to disturbing places not yet conceived....

But I like the pics. They give me a lot of hope that at least visually, stylistically, the film will turn out okay. From what I can see, they look like they've succeeded where (in at least one place) Enterprise failed miserably. It looks like TOS, with a more modern and more believable feel--where Enterprise just felt wrong.

But JJ Abrams is still a hack, so I'm not sure what to think.

Honestly, I do not like the bridge and from the looks of Chris Pine in that chair, I feel like he should be stroking a tribble saying "No Nero, I expect you to die".

I look at the bridge I don't see Star Trek. Maybe after 4 seasons of Enterprise, 7 seasons of TNG, VOY and the occasional Defiant scenes on DS9 over the last 4 my expectations of the bridge have been someone set in stone. I'd expect this in something like Lost In Space, or some low budge 60s/70s scifi show. I can not see how we can expect this to be the Enterprise, when it's like they completely ignored what the bridge looked like. Uhuru standing there looks more like a hostess waiting to sit someone than anything else.

In this photo, is it just me or does Simon Pegg seem more interested in picking something between his teeth than what's going on?
