Okay, and I'm being mega geeky here, but I thought it was rather funny that the tones used for those sconces were based on *our* (Western) idea of the musical scale. They were, in relation to each other, 5, 7, 8 (or so, ti, do).

It's only funny because every society comes up with their own ideas of musical scales and stuff, and the fact that the Ancients might have used our modern Western version is kind of...unlikely. It would have been more believable if they used pitches that weren't available on the piano keyboard.

I mean...you use what you've got, and they probably didn't think about this. So I'm not really being critical...just pointing out an observation.
