So, SG1's gone, SGA's on the way out now.

And were being made to put up with the wrapping up of stories in 2 hours instead over a season arc.

Is it just me or does that kinda defeat some of the point of SG1/SGA, if it were a simple one off film then maybe they could get away with it but in a TV series you get to know the characters and understand a bit of who they are and where there coming from see how they interact with each other, so on and so forth.

Maybe that’s not such a bad idea thinking about it, give us a few years to get to know the characters and then end the series and just give us a few DVD films, its either than or keep bringing new life into it by changing the producers and writing staff every season or so

I just hope they don’t end up doing what they did with Star Trek, they over saturated it imho, we went from a big gap between TOS and TNG to TNG, DS9 and Voyager in less than a decade, maybe it would of panned out better if we had the original SG1 film, left it a bit, SG1, maybe then Ark and Continuum, then a third film introducing Atlantis, few Atlantis based films etc etc, that way there wouldn’t be all the taboo that revolves around crossovers as there would be a decent enough gap as not to screw up the timeline and allow the characters to move around more.

The movie isn't wrapping up anything, it's stand alone.
