MGM Should get a 5 year Deal .....

I think MGM Needs to setup SG-U for a 5 year Deal , this way SciFi would have to keep it for its 100TH Eps .. As well as the Writers would KNOW what they are working with .. So instead of the writers Ending the Show with a HUGE Cliffhanger they could end it properly ...

That or even a 7 Year or season Deal ..

A multi-year contract does not mean the show lasts that long, but rather, it keeps everyone contractually obligated to stick around for X years just incase the show lasts that long. The network is entitled to cancel the show whenever it wants within reason. Craptacularly low ratings or rediculously high expenses would be within reason.

He's talking about Sci Fi ordering 5 seasons right off the bat, which would never happen, they'd never risk it.

TPTB would still end it with a cliffhanger, like Revelations. Why? Because they had a 5 year contract the first time around. They just keep going and going until they get canceled and apparently decide to wait for direct to DVD movies to wrap up loose ends.

Yeah they really did that with SG-1 and Now SG-A .. LOL , good one .. It would make sense for TPTB to END it with a movie to wrap up some loose ends , but they don't ...

Where if MGM set it up where the STORY ark they are into at the time END with LOOSE ends answered , you would have happy fans as well as happy networks ..
