You know who's missing from these two movies? (Spoilers)

    Dr. Lam.

Sure, she isn't the most memorable character in Stargate history, but she's far from a nobody, either. Having taken up the mantle of medical figurehead, she's kind of someone I'd have expected to see at least during the sweeping scene in the opening of Continuum. We got to see several recurring roles again, however briefly, which was great, but where the heck was she?

I know they only have just a tad over the average length of two episodes per continuation piece, but it'd be nice to see Lexa Doig on again, even for a cameo role.
If you've seen a Jeff O'Connor or a JeffZero or a Jeff Zero or a JeffZeroConnor elsewhere on the net, there's a considerable chance it's me.

Could be any number of reasons ranging from scheduling conflicts to no need for her. It was great to see the likes of Walter, Davis and Reynolds briefly in the two movies - but I figure pay-wise, they are on the end of the spectrum.

Lexa Doig would be considered a bigger star perhaps than them, at least in the real word - ergo might want more money. So why pay out for a mundane and not needed role.

    My thoughts at least!

Certainly quite true and I appreciate the response. There are definitely plenty of reasons why she wouldn't appear; it just felt like a very slight letdown for me.

Yeah, I noticed that too. I think she should've been in that opening shot with everyone else (It would've been funny if she'd have been escorting an injured Siler to the infirmary! ) I also wish we could've seen Janet Fraiser in the AU, and by some miracle, Jacob Carter (but he probably died of cancer years before).

          I'd say Bra'tac!

In the Continuum timeline Bra'tac would have died due to lack of a Symbioate. He said in "Threshold" his Symbioate was nearing maturity and when this happened his body would reject another Symbioate because of his age, if it weren't for tretonian he wouldn't have made it to season 10.

I loathed her on the show, I'm glad she hasn't been in the films.

Boy, that's pretty strong! How is it possible for a fictional characterization to be serious enough to loathe, especially something so innocuous? Now, I 'loathe' the concept of Dexter, but I don't hold the actor responsible...

I never even thought of Dr. Lam, it would indeed have been nice to see her! But I agree, Janet should really have been in Continuum, even if she was just checking them over after the Artic or the one who did Daniel's operation. It would have been a good scene for Sam.

I would say the character missing was Bra'tac

Well, at least they mentioned Bra'tac. Mind, I would agree when people say Bra'tac is the more important and situational of the two characters by far, so getting a mention over Lam was very understandable.

Still, as has been pointed out, he should be dead, anyway...

In the altered timeline, perhaps Teal'c made sure he got a new symbiote. Or perhaps he did something for which he was rewarded with one. You never know...

                          The symbiote would reject him;

Perhaps, but I am nearing the end of my time. Kel'no'reem is more and more difficult. The symbiote I carry within will mature within two years. It will be my last.

Even if I could procure another, the new symbiote would reject me. It is how old warriors die.

I would have loved to see Kinsey in Continuum... But I guess it wouldn't make sense for his character to show up since there was no Star gate program when he was in office as Senator, but he still might have become VP.
