    Continuum/the seed plot hole

Just wondering why Carter didn't turn into a hive ship?, she was exposed to the pathogen than keller, sheppard and ronon and all of them show signs of been infected after 6 weeks (the Daedalus had to travel from pegasus to earth and return) but carter lived in the alternative time line for a year and nothing happend to her.

Don't know where you got that year. Are you saying that a whole year passed between Carter's re-assignment and "The Seed"?

A year passed in the alternate time line created in Continuum.

As for the Wraith virus, it is possible the events of the Seed take place before Continuum, or that Carter nearly freezing to death killed the pathogen.

        Take your pick
A word of advice... there are creatures that live between this dimension and the next, fiendish creatures that feast on the suffering of an entire world to satiate their eternal hunger. Support the Gateworld Cantina or suffer the fate of all who fall into the clutches of the 'Eladrith Ynneas'

JDeus is referring to Continuum in the year that passed in the altered time line. But who's to say that as soon as she got back to Earth SG-1 went straight to the Tok'ra homeworld? Anyway when looking at Continuum you have to remember that it was originally meant to take place (along with the Ark of Truth) in between Season 10 of SG-1 and Season 4 of Atlantis, it took them a little bit longer than planned to get the to movies out thus needed to alter the way things happened continuity wise.
...Stargate is not about the angry nerd.

She was quarantined till the vaccine was come up with, then went to the baal extraction.

Since she DIDNT turn into a hive ships id think that was obvious.

            Duh.

So the SG1 at the start of the movie weren't OUR Sg1? Again....?

Hopefully...or else the characters we've watched for 10+ years are dead, for good.

I kinda go with the idea that unlike Moebius, with alternate universes and what not, both were OUR SG1, and it was one solid timeline as opposed to a branching timeline...

                    I don't know....

Even if it were one solid completely linear timeline, they still couldn't both be our SG-1.

its pretty obvious that Continuum happened right after the Seed.
if you look closely in the begining of Continuum you'll notice that Carter was a little late to join SG1 on the mission and looked like she just got out of contianment.

also i have a better question. in the time line of "The Last Man" we saw the future and that everything was ok on Earth. so that does mean that in that timeline Baal didn't try to change the past?

With the continuum/the seed this AscendedThor has a good theory. Another possibility is that the hive ship growth thing effects different people in different ways. It was just fluke the Keller showed symptoms first first.

And with The Last Man thing how do you know Baal didn't try to change the past but Mitchel just undid it like the ending to continuum.

Yes they can, they both did everything exactly the same up until that point and it was only at that moment that the divide occured. Our SG1 escaped having the universe changed around them and went to the north pole, and with that divide in realities never occuring in the end, our Sg1 went home and had cake. Started with our Sg1, Sg1 divided in two, one died, the other didnt.

Either way they still can't both be our SG-1, the SG-1 we saw at the beginning might the same as our SG-1 (though causality makes this borderline impossible), but they're still not them.
