Why does ronan protect shepard at the end?

Hi long time reader first time poster.

just thinking why does ronan protect sheppard by taking off the wraith's hand? at first i thought he had not turned and was foolin the wraith and just wanted to kil tyre. But then at the end i know he's still gotta come down off the wraith drugs but he seems like he wants to go back at that point to the wraith like he hates the team.

anyone got any idea's

It was Tyre who cut the Wraith's hand off.

yea i was a little confused about that first, i thought it was ronon, and had to rewatch before i realised it was Tyre, prob could have been a little clearer

And it was Tyre it was made clear by the swords.. Tyres is cooler

It was only on the 2nd watch I spotted it was Tyre. It was such a dark episode it was difficult to see exactly what was going on in some scenes
