I don't really understand what the plot is... lol...but I like the music and it looks interesting.
The Spirit, was the hero persona of young detective Denny Colt. Presumed killed in the first three pages of the premiere story, Colt later revealed to his friend, Central City Police Commissioner Dolan, that he had in fact gone into suspended animation caused by one of archvillain Dr. Cobra's experiments. When Colt awakened in Wildwood Cemetery, he established a base there and, using his newfound anonymity, began a life of fighting crime wearing only a small domino mask, blue business suit, fedora hat and gloves for a costume. The Spirit dispensed justice, funding his adventures with the rewards for capturing villains.
FRANK MILLER TALKS THE SPIRIT AT THE PREMIERE IN LONDON.
Frank Miller said his favorite part of directing The Spirit movie was working with the actors.
"I find actors to be fascinating people because they're much more intelligent than most people think, they're very hard workers," Miller said at The Spirit's UK launch in London on Thursday.
"And you can give them parameters to work within and give them a direction, but then they will create something you don't expect. And that's the real thrill of the job."
For the Christmas Day release, Miller sent he spent six months in pre-production, three months shooting and then a year in post-production.
Miller -- directing by himself for the first time after co-directing Sin City with Robert Rodriguez -- took the job after the death of his friend and The Spirit creator, Will Eisner. The movie was in development before Eisner's death, but Miller said he didn't talk much with him about a film.
"He just said, 'I hope they don't screw it up' and 'I hope to hell they don't give him a gun,'" Miller said. "That's about all he had to say about it."
Miller said he felt a sense of responsibility in bringing Eisner's character to the big screen.
