It'll probably be blown out of the water by BSG, though their CG this season doesn't seem as good as last...

And to Tin Man— nice to see something else scifi/fantasy getting a few nods.

Though, am I the only one discontent with the fact that Atlantis didn't get in the Prosthetics category? I noticed most of the prosthetics noms were crime dramas, so I imagine most of their 'prosthetics' were for dead people. In comparison, the Wraith prosthetics on Atlantis have to 'make' living creatures, and they still pull it off in a fantastic, creepy way.

I was very dissapointed SGA wasn't nominated for score. Its one of the shows strengths. I was surprised Doctor Who wasn't nominated for something, series 4 was brilliant. I don't think its finished airing in the US though, that could be why. Anyway, come on Atlantis!

I'm excited that BSG was nominated for so many! That's awesome

I hope Atlantis wins though; 'Adrift' had spectacular effects.

Congratulations to Mark Savela and his team for their Emmy Nomination!

This is Stargate Atlantis' Fourth Emmy nomination.

Stargate Atlantis was previously nominated in 2005 (twice) for Outstanding Main Title Theme Music and Outstanding Special Visual Effects For A Series for 'Rising,' (MIchelle Comens' team) and in 2006 for Outstanding Music Composition for a Series (Original Dramatic Score) for the episode 'Grace Under Pressure.'

NBCU has a press release on the Emmy nominations.

alas, SGA is listed at the bottom (TIN MAN is their golden child, followed by BSG). That, or they listed in order of nominations (SGA got just one).

I would say it is in the order of number of nominations.

BTW--This is the 2nd year in a row that BSG has gotten a writing nomination.

Well, that episode had nothing but visual effects, at least it gets recognised

                            [/sarcasm]

I'm more surprised House dind't get any writing nomination after this last season TBH. Talking about quality writing...

BAMSR should have gotten nominated, not Adrift because it have superior Visual Effects.

I'm going to put my money on SGA or Jericho.
