the 303 became outdated a year after it entered service..

the 303 was the 1st it was more of a prototype. the 304s (daedalus, oddysee, apollo) are the next gen.

considering that it takes alot for us to get materials and build just 1 ship. might aswell make it a 304 coz we need that defense and fire power.

if we cud make loads of ships off the bat then yeah maybe build a 303 as a ferry.

also the 303 wasnt a failure it got mashed up by an ori satelite it took 2 hits. last episode of season nine one of the 304s got taken down by ori weapons

Yeah but the 304's shield were penetrated after several shots and the korolev only destroyed by two simultanious hits. The Prometheus on the other hand had it's shield penetrated on the first shot and nearly survived it.

But I wonder, the Ori satilite was build by some rather primitive people compared to the Ori. Therefore it should be weaker than the Ori weapon. So then the shields of the 304 would be a huge leap ahead of those of the Prometheus.

they built it learned from it got some more neat stuff off the asgard and were able to create 304s.

u rekon they cud of built a 304 ship off the bat with no previous interstellar ship experience.

if it was such a failure they wud have decomissioned it. if it didnt get hit by that ori satelite it may stillb around today, well not really coz it wud of got its ass handed to it in the end season 9 like many ships.

yeah im still tryin to figure out how the ori can instruct their followers who are like farmers and carpenters to create and program crystal / material / nano tech. there must be some followers in that galaxy as advanced as us or even more so who still worship the ori to help them out.

and dont no one say if they were as advanced as us they wudnt believe in the ori. coz ppl here believe so much in many gods/religions atleast over there u get to see priors and acts of ascended beings

ah cmon man. they'd have to rebuild somet chronic. like 1st develop their mining capabilities to get the right raw materials to build and fuel a spaceships in that short amount of time. then manufacture computers to actually program parts of the ship. these guys build stuff by setting fires and heating metal than banging it into shape like blacksmiths. theres gotta be somethin more goin on that we aint been told

The people on the planet in question (from "Ethon") were in industrialized society with computers, mining abilities, etc. Their culture was roughly Cold War-level.
