Well, what's done it for you? What parts in our favourite show have made you cringe and utter "oh no", what parts have made you sniffle a little? What's really got to you?
1: "Battlestar Galactica"
Shortly after the attack on the Colonies began, Adama made his announcement to the crew that the Cylons had launched a massive attack against their home worlds and that the prognosis was grim but as yet unknown. "How, why, doesn't really matter right now. What matters is that, as of this moment, we are at war." Really hits me hard for some reason, and does every time. Even though I'm not an American I always flash back to the chaos and confusion of Sept 11 when EJO speaks those words.
2: "Pegasus"
The moment when the Chief realizes they've killed Lt. Thorne. Now....yes, Thorne was a dispicable character and I know they had just come to Sharon's rescue but I don't believe for a second that they intended to kill the guy. And the Chief's absolutely defeated body language when they said as much just got me.
3: "Exodus, Part 2"
The 'gentle execution'. Need I say more?
4: "Exodus, Part 2"
The 'refugees return' scene was just so deliciously bittersweet. I know Kara's moment was an awful thing after what she'd been through, but it was really the Adama/Tigh moment that killed me. Adama solemnly congratulating Saul on bringing them home, and all Saul could say in response was "not all of them." The dejected, 'he's been to hell and back' walk away as Adama was hoisted up on cheering shoulders was a killer too.
5: "Maelstrom"
For me this wasn't the Viper exploding, or Lee's shock and the shock in the CiC. For me this one was EJO's once-again stellar performance. The sobbing as he put the frontpiece on his model ship--and then promptly smashed it to pieces in his grief. Terrific (if expensive lol) improvisation that really brought the whole thing home.
Have at it.....
