    April 21 2008

The MGM lion is roaring into Licensing 2008 International as MGM Consumer
Products welcomes new entertainment properties and reinvents classics from the
studio's illustrious film and TV library.

    ...........

The longest-running sci-fi series in television history, STARGATE SG-1
debuted in 1997 and was inspired by the hit MGM feature film STARGATE. Since
    then,
the series has gained legions of fans throughout the world and has spawned
popular conventions around the globe. In July 2004, STARGATE ATLANTIS debuted as
the spin-off series to STARGATE SG-1, and continues to rank as one of the
highest rated series on SCI FI Channel week after week, introducing audiences to
instantaneous travel to thousands of worlds through ancient portals called
Stargates. With additional broadcasts in syndication, STARGATE regularly reaches
weekly audiences topping two million viewers.

This year, STARGATE ARK OF TRUTH launched as an original DVD movie, hitting
#1 on Amazon.com, and remains near the top of the sales charts after achieving
10 times its projected sell-through in just two weeks. The second original DVD
movie, entitled STARGATE: CONTINUUM, is slated to launch July 29. A third
television series, STARGATE UNIVERSE, is currently in development and STARGATE
WORLDS, the studio's highly-anticipated online subscription game will debut in
September 2008, enriching the STARGATE experience for gamers and fans
    everywhere.

STARGATE SG-1 and STARGATE ATLANTIS continue to perform extremely well
internationally and are broadcast in more than 100 countries. Season Five of
STARGATE ATLANTIS is currently in production in Vancouver.
