What if Ronnon was captured by Michael, tortured, then hybridized. He becomes one of Michael's lieutenants in his army. For a part of the seasons he serves Michael's cause. Occassionaly locking horns with Shepard. Teal'c becomes a temporary team member to help capture Specialist Hybrid Ronon Dex. (Who else can subdue Super Ronnon but the greatest Jaffa warrior).

Teal'c wants to do this so that he can help the fellow warrior. Further, he wants

Eventually the team captures him and cures him. Further, he wants to help him the same way Bratac helped him in the events of Enemies and Treshold.

How would you guys feel about that story arc?

Ronon as an enemy to SGA would be interesting...for an ep or 2. I wouldn't make it a long term thing.

I think Ronon would be more interesting if his ex-wife/girlfriend was (a alive) and brainwashed into serving Micheal or a wraith queen. The SGA would have no reason to risk their lives to save his ex but Ronon wouldn't sit back and say..oh well.

Ronon as the lone warrior is better suited than brainwashed or hybrid Ronon for the character.

I do think it would be very interesting if Ronon found himself standing in his enemies shoes. Perhaps Keller refines the antivirus to make a vaccine that would make humans immune to the wraith feeding. Ronon, already being immune is exposed to the virus/vaccine and develops Vampire like traits.

Ronon as a vampire could be an interesting turn of events. (Like Forever Knight). He's turned into a vampire and has to feed on blood. Starts with drinking live stock blood from slaughter and eventually develops a taste for human blood. I wouldn't make him turn into a bat and fly away though...might be pushing the silliness with Dracula angle.

Maybe Ronon could fall in love with a Wraith queen . . . hmmm, can't see that working. But I think the idea of Ronon standing in his enemies shoes is an excellent idea for a plot. It would be very cool seeing it from the wraith's point of view. We got a little taste of it from Todd and Michael but it would be more interesting if Ronon himself had to see their view, seeing as how he wouldn't listen to practically anything that any wraith has said. I wonder if other wraiths have emotions about what they do (apart from those brought up by humans like that wraith girl whose name I forgot).

If it was for like a two-three part arc like with SG-1's "Enemies" and "Threshold" yes. Longer than that no.

Ronon isn't already immune.

But as for the OP, bringing Teal'c back would be cool, but I'm not sure turning Ronon into a hybrid is a good idea. Too similar to "Conversion" for me.

It will take a couple of episodes cause Ronnon will have to be captured tortured physically and mentally so that he will be broken. Unless Michael and his hybrids can break him easily it will take awhile.

Aside from that I am fine with it being only a couple of eppys. I doubt Christopher Judge will be taken into Atlantis for more that a couple of episodes. One season at most.

Yes he is...he was made into a runner cause he couldn't be fed upon. That was stated in the intro ep for ronon.

Not true.

TEYLA: You are a Runner. (Dex nods at her.) I have heard stories, but ...
SHEPPARD: What’s a Runner?
DEX: I was captured during a culling on my planet. I was taken to a ship. A Wraith started to feed on me.

FLASHBACK. As the Wraith stands with its hand plunged into Dex’s chest, its expression changes and it looks perturbed. It looks down to its hand.

DEX: Something made him stop.

FLASHBACK. Dex has been taken out of the cocooning and three Wraith are surrounding him. One plunges a syringe-like object into his shoulder. He is lain face-down on a table and a Wraith takes a knife and starts to cut into his back. Dex grimaces in agony.

DEX: They operated on me – put some sort of tracking device in my back and released me.

FLASHBACK. Dex is running through a forest with a Wraith pursuing him.

DEX: They hunted me.

Incorrect. They never said he was immune.

What are qualifications to become runners?

What singled Ronon out of the rest of the Satedans?

Maybe genetics or maybe the Wraith just felt like it.

Perhaps Ronon is not an ordinary human.

Basis:

Whatever made the Wraith stop was not indigenous to his planet. We know his friends from Reunion was not immune to being fed upon. Maybe he is simillar to O'neil a step forward in human evolution.

He is incredibly strong. He went one on one with supersoldiers like Teal'c, Ford, the Wraith Lord almost evenly.

There was a post somewhere that maybe Ronon was part Wookie...

the wraith quit feeding because he sensed/felt ronon's strength. it made him a worthy "hunt" and he was turned in to a runner.

instead of a runner, that'd make him a... gunner? :p

An ep about him looking for his gun? Not sure I'd like that.

I think I expressed this before (although I don’t remember where) Ronon turning to the dark side would be interesting to see; but I don’t like that “becoming a vampire” idea, we already have the wraith! (they just have to get back in shape because if they don’t do something, it will be Michael the one ruling the Pegasus galaxy).

in "broken ties" in S5, a wraith attempts to break ronon and turn him into a worshipper.
that might leave him with a darker edge for a few episodes after.

ronan has always hated the wraith, for what they did to his people, i dont think the wraith will be able to break him, just make his hate for them much worse.

although if he plays it smart, he could pretend to be a worshipper, then when he has a chance, do some real damage to the wraith that have took him, maybe blow up the ship

that's what I think also, that's why I said a wraith "attempts" to. given what happened to sateda and in "reunion", I can't see it happening.

it kinda even proves it, in season 4 ep 20, the last man

when ronan and todd are trapped together, they decide to blow themselves up(i believe, only seen it once, so cant remember) rather than surrender to the wraith

so to me, that proves, ronan will die before worshipping a wraith, no matter how hard they torture him

it wasn't the wraith, it was the hybrids. I'd love to see ronon's reaction if sheppard told him he died fighting side by side with a wraith. ;)

Yeah, but Ronnon has been captured before. Twice by the Wraith. Once by Ford's LOst Boys. 4 if you count the meeting in BAMSR.

Plus Michael has methods we don't know about. He could:

Sing to Ronnon :)

I think it would be interesting to not only see Ronan, but any of the cast, join the Wraith. However, Ronan was already recaptured and made back into a Runner in Sateda

Whatever the writers do in S5 though, I'm sure it will be good. But, I hope we learn more about the Wraith and their culture.
