    Saturn Awards - SG-1 Wins Best Series!

    Cinescape is reporting on the 2004 Saturn Awards that was held last
    night in Los Angeles:

    BEST SYNDICATES/CABLE TELEVISION SERIES

    STARGATE SG-1 (Sci Fi Channel)

    (This is "Stargate SG-1's" second win in this category, winning previously in 2000. The show was also nominated in 1998, 1999, 2001, 2002 and 2003.)

    David Boreanaz ("Angel") won in the Best Actor in a
    Television Series category that Richard Dean Anderson and Michael Shanks had also been nominated for.

    (RDA won in 1999 and was nominated in 1998, 2000, 2001, 2002, and 2003 -- MS was previously nominated in the category for Best Supporting Actor in 2001.)

    Amy Acker ("Angel") won in the Best Supporting Actress In a Television Series category that Amanda Tapping had also been nominated for (Amanda has been nominated in this category four times now, including the years 2000, 2001 and 2002).

    (Christopher Judge was nominated for the Best Supporting Actor in a Television Series category in 2002.)

    just sorry that amanda didn't get the bes suporting award

      YAY!!! SG-1!!
      Its great that they have won the award for Best Show, just a shame that Amanda didn't win..

      Anyway, why was she nominated for Best Supporting Actress?? Shouldn't she be in the Best Actress category?? She's one of the main stars of the show!!!

        Stargate wins Saturn Award for best show
        MAY 6, 2004


        Stargate SG-1 was honored as the Best Syndicated/Cable Television Series at the 30th Annual Saturn Awards, presented last night in Los Angeles. It's the show's first win in this category since 2000 (
        story).

          Congrulations to Stargate for winning a Saturn Award. A great achivement for the show. They're really doing well recently. They've won a great handful of awards for their show!

            Woo hoo for Stargate winning a Saturn award for best show! It so deserved to win .
            It is a shame Amanda didn't win best supporting actress (although I really think she should have been voted in best actress)...she really deserved to win!

              they definately deserved this award...it was a long time coming. though after watching sam in action this season i'm pretty surprised that amanda didn't get the best supporting actress award. amy acker is great as fred...but i really think that amanda is just...better...>.<

                    well done Stargate!! I think RDA should have got best actor though - much as I love Angel I don't think David B has the same range as RDA....

                      This is a really nice win for Stargate SG-1. I went back and looked at the nominees in their category and it's an impressive group!
