If there was anything in this film that really appealed to me, it was certainly the wardrobe department, and the costume design certainly took advantage of Morena Baccarin's gorgeous looks and physique. The red and yellow dress that was made for her was definitely a winner for me, with the strong and bold colours representing not only fire, but also her power and steady determination. Her appearance also seemed crafted to match her surroundings in the set design as well, with the shape of the sleeves reflecting the arched symbol of the Ori (that's only noticeable with her arms out-stretched, but a full-res version of that pic has yet to be released), and the curved and angular lines and layers embedded in the dress are mirrored all over the room like an incredible cathedral - and they fit like a glove.
But there are also other elements about the dress that seem so unconventionally inspired, in that the way the costume was designed and the way her hair was done seemed rather Asian influenced. Even though the Ori culture is European influenced (with a particular British slant), the dress looks like something from China or Japan, giving her the appearance of an Empress of sorts.
Whether my ramblings about the design are right or not, it really is a very interesting piece, and probably the most impressive since the introduction of the Priors in Season 9.
